Unlocking Global Growth: Mastering New Markets One Country at a Time, Just Like a Game of CATAN 🌎🔎 One weekend, I found myself immersed in a game of Catan with friends. As we strategically placed our settlements and traded resources, I couldn't help but notice the parallels between the game and my work in digital marketing. In Catan, each player must adapt their strategy based on the unique resources available in different regions. Even though the board might look similar, each game requires a fresh approach. Some territories are rich in 🧱 and 🪵 , while others are abundant in 🌾 and 🐑. Success depends on understanding and leveraging these differences to build roads, settlements, and cities effectively. Suddenly, it struck me: this is exactly how performance marketing works across different countries. Just as each Catan game board demands a unique strategy, each country has its own distinct culture, user behavior, and marketing funnel. You can't assume that what works in one territory will work in another, even if they share a language or a border. Understanding these differences is key to successful user acquisition and performance marketing in diverse regions. Advertising literacy is like deciphering the secret language of ads. It's about getting the inside scoop on how advertisers sway us. It's about understanding the techniques advertisers use to influence our choices. Check it: 🔍 1. Tugging Heartstrings (AKA Emotional Appeal): Ads that make you go, "Aww!" to sell a product. They tug at your heartstrings to create a connection. 🎉 2. Scaring You Silly (AKA Fear Tactics): Messages that scream, "Act now or doom approaches!" They play on your fears to encourage action. 🌟 3.
