Gathers AI/ML Community: 2023 Year in Review 🚀
As we wave goodbye to 2023, it's time to reflect on the phenomenal journey of the Gathers AI/ML Community (Roosh ecosystem). This year was a testament to our commitment to unifying Europe's AI/ML landscape and fostering global collaboration, which we strived for by hosting 30 groundbreaking online events. We brought together international experts and enthusiasts in a shared space of innovation and discovery.
📚 Papers Club Highlights: Our Papers Club was a platform of intellectual exchange with 23 expert-moderated discussions. Experts from 13 countries, including Sweden, Romania, Poland, and Italy, brought diverse perspectives. The moderators, hailing from prestigious organizations like A.P. Moller - Maersk, CERN, University of Gothenburg, Facebook, and others, led engaging sessions full of brainstorming, demos, and insightful Q&As. The photos of all experts are in the slides attached!
🌐 Global Reach, Local Impact: Our events resonated globally, attracting Data Scientists, ML Engineers, AI Researchers, and other fantastic AI enthusiasts from 83 countries, proving the universal appeal of our initiatives. Special shoutout to our most active participants like Mathieu, Boryana, Cuong, Artem, Michael, Jyotsna, Sravan, Yassine, Akansha, and others for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
🤝 Valued Partnerships: Collaborations with Seldon, Paris Women in Machine Learning and Data Science, IDEAS NCBR, SoftServe, and Hopsworks enriched our events, showcasing groundbreaking European projects and innovations. Our "What’s Buzzing in AI?" sessions, co-hosted by the talented AI Engineer Sireesha, kept our community updated on the latest AI trends and news. These 7 events were based on our weekly AI/ML innovations digest.
As the Gathers team (especially our two co-founders Bogdan and Bohdan) gears up for an even more exciting 2024, we want to extend a massive THANK YOU to everyone who's been part of this incredible journey. Here's to another year of learning, growing, and innovating together! 🎉👏
