In the construction industry, success is built on more than just bricks and mortar; it's built on trust and friendship. Having worked on a team that consistently delivered successful multimillion, mega projects, I’ve seen firsthand how crucial these elements are. It wasn't just about completing structures, but about believing in each other, sharing a vision, and supporting one another through challenges. Together, we proved that when you trust and believe in your team, there’s no limit to what you can achieve. Our track record of successful handovers speaks volumes about the power of collaboration and the bonds we’ve formed along the way. Here’s to the amazing mentor, seniors and colleagues who made every project a triumph and every challenge a shared victory. Together, we’ve built more than just buildings; we’ve built lasting friendships and a legacy of excellence.

The Construction Leadership Council published its report on "Creating Safe Buildings: Delivering safety, competence, and quality" in late August 2024. This preceded publication of the anticipated Phase 2 “Report into the fire at Grenfell Tower on 14 June 2017” in early September 2024. The CLC Report recognises that a key collective responsibility for the construction industry is to deliver buildings that are safe, both during construction and occupation. In this short industry update Will Buckby, Joanna Lewis, Andrew Croft and Kayleigh Rhodes summarise some of the core points from the CLC Report and consider whether future change is still required to fulfil the CLC’s ambitions and in view of the core findings and recommendations made in the recent Grenfell Report. #Grenfell #CLCReport https://lnkd.in/e-k4DcM4
