Applications are now open for Greentech Europe 2024! This program is an accelerator for women-led startups in Europe developing solutions to combat climate change and impacts. I meet a lot of women, who are developing amazing solutions to address climate change. However, their innovations are often not getting the funding they deserve. Only ~14% of fund managers globally are women. In 2023, only 7% of US climate tech funding went to female founders, down from 9% in 2022. Across all sectors, only 1.9% of VC funding went to female founders In fact, while looking for data on women investors in climate VC or PE, we were unable to even find the data!
