So that justice can be done, awareness shall be raised
Yesterday, the release of previously sealed Epstein court documents once again brought into sharp focus the horrifying reality of child sexual abuse. Our hearts go out to the young women who were coerced and forced into unimaginable situations by individuals in positions of power and wealth. At Child Rescue Coalition, we witness the abuse of hundreds of thousands of children taking place worldwide every single day. We stand alongside our law enforcement colleagues, supporting their efforts to identify offenders and rescue victims of abuse.

CALL FOR WITNESSES: Former Shelton High School counselor Samuel Caffey was arrested in June on multiple sexual assault allegations. While he is no longer employed by the Shelton School District, we are concerned that other victims may be silently suffering with the trauma of his abuse. PCVA is currently investigating the allegations against Caffey. If you or someone you know has any information that could help in these efforts, please contact us. More information about Caffey is available at the link below. http://ow.ly/or3p50OHNlp #StopAbuse #SupportSurvivors #Justice #JusticeForAll

Anyone who has been through the Family Court process knows it isn't working as intended. Even professionals support reform. For victims of narcissistic abuse those problems can be exercabated by an individual with personality traits which relish the adversarial nature of hearings and are able to use the process to further their abuse, using DARVO tactics to reverse the victim perpetrator roles and often causing alienation of children from loving parents. Here are some suggestions we have generated but what would you do? https://lnkd.in/drzWf5fe

95% of the factors leading to juvenile delinquency are as a result of dis-functional families. So if men show up for their families, and raise kids well, that means we will reduce crime by more than 90% in future. Additionally, men acting right will have a positive ripple effect in our societies, as people will embrace moral values. For example, you can't misbehave in presence of a strict father or husband. It all has to start at the family level. #juveniledelinquency #showup #crimeprevention #crime

Before now, rape was the penetration of a penis into a vagina and so only men were the known perpetrators. Now rape is inserting a penis or anything into the vagina, mouth, or anus of another person without his or her consent or where consent was gotten by force or deceit. We have cases where maids abuse the children (both girls and boys)of their employers right under their noses and cases of employers raping their domestic staff by deceit, blackmail or force etc. We urge parents to be vigilant and intentional about protecting their children against abuse. We also urge victims of sexual violence to report these cases, in order to break the cycle of abuse by ensuring that perpetrators are accountable for their actions. #UnitetoProtect #EmpowertoThrive #AKSVAPPLawat4 #VAPPLawAwarenesstoAction

14 July marks the Day of National Remembrance for 'honour'-based abuse victims. In the year ending 31 March 2022, police in England and Wales recorded 2,887 offences related to honour-based abuse, reflecting a 6% increase from the previous year. Honour-based abuse is a grave issue, committed to defend the 'honour' of a family or community, but it is a crime that undermines the fundamental rights of individuals. It's crucial for us to raise awareness and take action against such practices. We remember all victims and survivors of ‘honour’-based abuse today. #EndHonourBasedAbuse #Womensrights #EndViolenceAgainstWomenAndGirls #HumanRights #CommunitySafety

Understanding the complexities of domestic violence cases is crucial for both legal professionals and the public. The case of Antonio Gamero, highlighted in recent news, serves as a reminder of these challenges. Although the victim, in this instance, did not recant her testimony, Gamero's recorded jail conversations revealed attempts to manipulate perceptions of the victim's testimony and his own admissions of responsibility. This case mirrors the critical discussions in our book "Recantation and Domestic Violence: The Untold Story," which explores the nuanced challenges faced by victims and the legal system. The book emphasizes understanding the dynamics of domestic violence, including the pressures that may lead to recantation and the significance of supporting victims. https://lnkd.in/ddDjdc7v
