If you're hiring a contractor - the more time you can give them at the beginning, the better. Although contractors possess incredible agility and resilience, they are often stepping into a new world of complex challenges, cultures, and expectations. The more time you invest in them initially, the smoother the journey will be. Why 🤔 ? Thorough on-boarding does more than just cover the basics. ✅ It builds a foundation of trust. ✅ Opens channels for clear communication ✅ Sets out the goals ✅ Guarantees ROI Contractors can solve a lot of problems, but the more you can tell them about the problems you need solving - the happier they are! Do you agree? [email protected] AssureBio

Tech companies are hiring remote contractors like never before. The reason is clear: In-house engineering talent can cost up to $11,000 more than a remote one annually🚫 Explore our blog to uncover lesser-known benefits of hiring contractors: https://lnkd.in/d48Wm9_y #hiring #global #engineers

"Should we hire in-house engineers or use an overseas team?" Overseas teams are incredibly useful if you are short on time and capital. It's not difficult to find a software development vendor that can provide you with an excellent overseas team that will be more affordable and flexible in the short run than hiring in-house. It can be challenging to know early on in a startup exactly how many engineers you'll need, what kind, and for how long. A good software development vendor can provide you with the flexibility required to handle those early challenges. However, if you know you need software engineers for a year or more, have the necessary capital, and have the aptitude to manage them, then you should bring as much engineering talent as you can in-house. What if your currently use an overseas team, your company is stable, and you have a clear understanding of your software development needs? Should you switch? Not necessarily. If the path ahead is well understood and you only require new features occasionally, a long-term relationship with an overseas team can be productive. Hiring in-house becomes critical when the path is unclear and your software must evolve rapidly. What we've seen work well are "product teams" of engineers and a product manager (and a designer, if you have one handy) to take responsibility for an area, or "domain" of the product(s). Each team regularly meets with end users and stakeholders to get a thorough understanding of the problems in question, and once they understand the desired outcome, they rapidly experiment until they nail it. This type of arrangement is easily the most powerful we've used in the software industry, and we've found that it's harder to achieve with overseas resources. Such work requires a team-centric, ownership mentality that is difficult to find in an external party. It's much easier to get everyone moving in the same direction when you are all in the same boat. So if you're short on time or capital, and you need flexible capacity for software development, a software development vendor can be an excellent choice. If instead you have to evolve your product and have the time, capital, and a clear demand for software engineering talent for at least a year, then hiring in-house is likely the way to go.

What is the main thing when it comes to hiring the best engineers? Many might mention interesting tasks and competitive salaries (and these are undoubtedly important aspects to keep in mind!), but that's not the crucial point. What truly makes a difference is that people want to see themselves in your product and believe they can have an impact on its development. They want to contribute to its success and continually improve it, not simply write code and earn money. It's called having a product mindset. A typical outsourcing model will never attract such top-notch professionals and won't guarantee a truly high level of dedication. When someone is engaged in 3-4 different projects, it's naive to expect that level of commitment. Instead, you need a blend of the best features of both outstaffing and outsourcing models. This approach involves people who treat your product as if they are working directly with you, and consider themselves to be a part of your success. This is the only way to make remote specialists feel like your employees and put all their efforts and creativity into what you do. #Mobilunity #Hiring #Remote #Motivation

Everyone's putting on a brave face, but let's be honest - software development is in a rough spot. Investments are frozen, clients are hesitant, yet hope persists. The question on everyone's mind: What can we do? My two cents - build our own product and hire only the ones you really need. Companies that rely solely on client work will always face challenges in terms of both autonomy and stability. Needs change on a daily basis. Deadlines shift. One day you rock, the other day they don't need you anymore. But if we build our own products, we can at least have autonomy and some level of stability in our business. And my second point is, we should all take a strategic approach to hiring. Having a strong development team in such dynamic times and industry is crucial. There's nothing worse than hiring just to play big and show our worth, while our employees can't rely on us.

🌍 Why Hire Remote Software Engineers? 🌍 US firms face significant challenges in hiring software engineers. Sure, there are many more applications than there were during COVID times. But getting hundreds of CVs makes the screening process time-consuming and inefficient. Additionally, the salaries and benefits required for US-based engineers are significantly higher compared to other regions. Hiring full-time employees involves long-term commitments, such as notice periods and severance, which limit the flexibility of SMBs to adapt quickly to changing business needs. We are excited to share the benefits of hiring remote engineers through Remgu: ✅ Quality: Work with vetted, experienced engineers who hit the ground running. ✅ Cost: Work with a senior engineer for 33% less than the median salary of a US developer. ✅ Efficiency: Our matching service eliminates the hassle of browsing through hundreds of resumes, providing you with one or two high-quality candidates quickly. ✅ Flexibility: Scale your team as needed with no long-term obligations. You can even work with the engineer directly after both parties get a feel for each other.
