“Alas! I had not then learned the measure of "man's inhumanity to man," nor to what limitless extent of wickedness he will go for the love of gain.” - Solomon Northup, Twelve Years a Slave • As we commemorate Juneteenth, it is crucial to pause and examine the lingering influences of the slavery mindset in today's world. Acknowledging historical wrongs is essential, but true progress demands active and ongoing efforts to break free from subconscious biases. • In the journey of life, we all tread the same path, yet some encounter smoother travels while others face obstacles and hardship. Despite these differences, we ultimately reach the same destination. This reflection prompts us to question: How different are we truly? The answer, at our very core, is not at all. This is why, today, while we celebrate how far history has come, we must acknowledge how far we still have to go in terms of seeing all people of the world as equal. We’ve come a long way, but it is our duty to every victim of slavery and discrimination to acknowledge how far we still have to go. "Struggle is a never ending process. Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation." - Coretta Scott King • Let us use this moment to foster understanding, challenge biases, and strive for a future where equality and empathy guide our interactions. #Juneteenth #Equality #Reflection

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history that marks the end of slavery in the United States. This day, celebrated on June 19th, commemorates the moment in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas —more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Juneteenth teaches us that declaring freedom is just the beginning; it's the relentless commitment to making it a reality that truly matters. At PRI, we embody this lesson by dedicating ourselves to turning standards of quality and excellence into practice. In our work, we emphasize that achieving quality and excellence requires more than just defining standards — it demands the steadfast dedication to make these standards a practice. Join us in reaffirming our commitment to these principles. Let's honor Juneteenth by making every standard a lived reality. #juneteenth #freedomday #equality #standard #quality #safeworkplace #nadcap #pritraining #medaccred #priqualifiaction #priregistrar
