It was a great networking experience at the EU-Startups Summit. Summarizing my visit to the summit, we saw many interesting startups and met investors. I will share the list of investors in the first comment to this post. For now, I want to share what seemed important to me for those seeking investments and entering the market: 1. Sell yourself, your team, your product. Investments in sales and marketing cannot be excessive. But investments in the product should be made with caution. 2. Apply for investments when the product sells itself (meaning anyone can sell the product, not just the founder). Investors want to see that your business can scale. 3. Market validation. Your product must be not only in demand, but also paid for, meaning there should be customers willing to pay for it. It's also important who your customers are and how sustainable their business is. A startup for startups doesn't seem like the best idea for an investor. 4. Diverse teams win. The team is just as important as the product. Your people are what the investor will be investing in.
