It’s easy to buy a pen. Or a chair. You can... ...see the colors and shapes. ...sit on it, check if it's comfortable or not. ...touch it and feel the cushion and the wood. ...measure it to be sure it will fit in your living room. ...compare prices and consider all aspects. And decide. What about something not physical, like Agile? There is nothing to touch. Nothing to test before. No guarantee. How I normally "sell" it (after asking tons of questions): ❌ It's not a destination. ✅ It's a means to an end. ❌ There are no shortcuts. ✅ Fundamental changes take time. ❌ It's not a walk in the park. ✅ There will be some tough situations. ❌ It's not about checking boxes. ✅ Truly ameliorating the ways of working. ❌ There are no recipes for success. ✅ But continuous experimentation & improvement. Ultimately, this is what I tell my clients: I don't care if it's Agile or not. I want to: ↳ Understand your context, challenges, and goals. ↳ Find together the most suitable practices for them. ↳ Constantly check how it's going and adapt as needed. It's about being honest and managing the expectations. - Do you agree with it? - How do you "sell" Agile? Note: let's be honest: the best assignments, you don't need to sell Agile. #agile #company #culture

Unlock Efficiency with Timeboxing Feeling overwhelmed by a never-ending list of tasks? Unsure of where to start? You're not alone. I've been there too. Timeboxing helps you set clear priorities and allocate time accordingly. It reminds us that anything not on the plan is a distraction, empowering us to decline additional tasks that might disrupt our schedule. A University of California, Irvine study showed focused work periods improve output by up to 50%. In tech engineering, Scrum and Agile adopt timeboxing as a core practice. It ensures tasks fit within fixed durations, promoting steady progress, and preventing overload. By applying timeboxing, teams can avoid the pitfalls of perfectionism and analysis paralysis, ensuring that progress is steady, and goals are met within reasonable timelines. It's a driver for innovation. Jeff Weiner, the former CEO of LinkedIn, once noted: "The key to time management is carving out time to think, rather than constantly reacting. And that requires discipline." Here are key steps to start with: 1. Task Identification and Prioritization 2. Time Estimation 3. Task Scheduling 4. Manage Remaining Task - Scheduling for the next day. 5. Daily Review and Adjustments Pitfalls to avoid: - Skipping breaks - Overstuffing can cause stress. - Failing to prioritize - Rigidity. It's an adaptable and flexible tool; if a task needs more time, adjust accordingly. #timemanagement #productivity #technology

Happy Friday! 🙃 In the journey of organizational evolution, one of the most significant impediments to progress, innovation, and the shift towards agile, product-centric entities often arises from bonus schemes tied to functional outputs. It is essential to adopt inventive methods for motivating change. This includes exploring novel ways to reward individuals for their efforts, fostering a collective focus on shared goals that will benefit the whole organization.

I often remind myself that "done is better than perfect." This isn't just an Agile thing - it's a life thing. Whether it's getting fit, learning something new, or improving our daily routine, the magic lies in being consistent. Small steps, taken regularly, can lead to some awesome results. In Agile, we love our incremental progress. It's not about nailing it perfectly on the first try. It's about making steady moves toward our goals. And guess what? The same goes for our personal journeys. Think of it like hitting the gym. You won't see abs after one workout, but stick to it, and changes happen. The same goes for learning - each bit adds up. In the Agile world, we talk about inspecting and adapting. Do the same in your life. Check your progress, celebrate the small victories, and adjust as needed. So, let's toast to the power of consistency. Whether it's work processes, healthier living, or personal growth, the secret sauce is progress over perfection. Small, steady steps lead to big wins over time. 🌟 Wishing you all a fantastic New Year filled with consistent progress and exciting results! 🎉 #AgileMindset #NewYearWishes #ConsistentProgress Graphics from Roberto Ferraro 😉

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐓𝐃 (𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐞) 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝟑 𝐨𝐟 𝟑) If you are like us, you probably have a lot of tasks, ideas, and commitments on your plate. How do you keep track of them all and get them done without feeling overwhelmed? One way is to use Getting Things Done (GTD) approach, which is focused on personal productivity and stress-free work management. The core idea is to capture all tasks, ideas, and commitments in an external system to free up mental space and reduce the cognitive load. The GTD workflow involves five steps: capture, clarify, organize, reflect, and engage. This systematic approach enables individuals to process tasks efficiently. But what if you want to take your productivity to the next level? How can you leverage Agile principles to enhance your GTD workflow? In our latest blog post, we share our experience of combining these two approaches to create a powerful strategy for enhanced productivity. You will learn how Agile principles can help you prioritize tasks, collaborate with others, and continuously improve based on learning and feedback. Let me introduce the self manifesto for personal development (Borrowed it from our favourite agile manifesto) Let’s speak, 🗣️ practice and make it a habit 1. Prioritizing individuals and interactions over bias and ego, 2. Embracing continuous improvement over succumbing to self-doubt and disbelief, 3. Preferring collaboration over self-centeredness, 4. Responding to changes over being rigid and resistant to adaptability. #self #growth #manifesto #agile #personal #development

Exploring the Roots and Principles of Agility: A Journey Through Time As we navigate the ever-evolving landscapes of business and technology, it's crucial to revisit the core principles that guide us towards excellence. Today, I'm taking a moment to reflect on the rich history and enduring principles of Agility. The concept of Agility emerged in the early 2000s, primarily from the software development industry, as a response to the limitations of traditional project management. The Agile Manifesto, penned in 2001, laid the groundwork for a philosophy centered on flexibility, collaboration, and customer satisfaction. At its core, Agility champions adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, and continual improvement. It encourages flexible responses to change, a stark contrast to the rigid, linear approaches of the past. But Agility isn't just a set of practices; it's a mindset. It's about fostering a culture where teams are empowered, collaboration is king, and change is embraced as an opportunity for growth. Agile principles transcend industries, offering valuable insights into how we can work smarter and more effectively in any field. As we continue to explore the depths of Agility, let's not forget its roots and the principles that have made it a transformative force in the world of work. To delve deeper into the world of Agility and discover how it can revolutionize your approach. #Agility #AgileMindset #Innovation #BusinessTransformation

"Don't tie yourself with brand loyalty." It doesn't matter which framework you use but try to understand what your needs are. Forget about big buzzwords but let me share an interesting fact. As a workshop facilitator, I interact with new people. People are very different and not the same facilitation style and interaction work with them. If you don't take feedback warmly then you could never know about it. If the same facilitation style couldn't work on different people then how could we assume it for large-scale projects/products? Be open-minded about what knowledge is available and how you could benefit from that. Do I recommend the course?: Short-duration course and aligns with my thought process as well. I like hearing Mike Cohn, and on top of that, it is available for free.
