𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀. 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 ! I used to wrestle with deadlines, often finding myself in the last-minute sprint to the finish line. But guess what? I've turned things around, and now I see deadlines as my secret weapon for productivity and creativity. Here's how I tackle them: 1. 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀: I'm an early riser. Starting my day before the world wakes up gives me uninterrupted hours to dive into my writing. I tackle the most demanding tasks first when my mind is fresh and energized. 2. 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻: Big projects can be overwhelming, but breaking them into smaller tasks makes them manageable. I outline the project and set mini-deadlines for each section. It's incredibly satisfying to see progress daily! 3. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻: My calendar is my co-pilot. I allocate specific time blocks for different tasks. This keeps me focused and prevents procrastination. Remember, time is your canvas; paint it wisely. 4. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲: Working non-stop can lead to burnout. I'm a fan of the Pomodoro Technique . 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5-minute break keeps my mind sharp and my enthusiasm high. 5. 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁: I treat self-imposed deadlines with the same respect as external ones. This keeps me accountable and ensures that my creative flow remains steady. 6. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Life can throw curveballs . I've learned to be adaptable without compromising quality. Shifting a deadline slightly is okay if it means delivering my best work. 7. 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺: Celebrate victories, even the small ones. Finishing a draft or hitting a word count deserves a treat. It keeps the momentum going and adds a touch of fun! Remember, deadlines aren't foes; they're allies in our creative journey. They push us to explore new heights and hone our skills. So, let's embrace them, and together we'll turn our words into masterpieces. How do you tackle deadlines? Share your insights below! Let's inspire each other.

Chasing deadlines!!! Naturally, we have deadlines for one of the following reasons: * To make certain that we finish our work. It's easy to delay or to forget a task that has no approved end point. Deadlines help to prevent this. * To support a smooth flow of work. Deadlines help us to team up toward reaching a communal goal, and to keep composite, multistage projects on track. * To set expectations. Deadlines make clear what we're expected to deliver and when. This means that we can take control of our work, free of confusion. When deadlines are pursued with pressure, overlooking reality, this results if very poor deliveries and usually embarrass not only team members but everyone.

Monday Quick Tip: What Does 'Done' Really Mean in Your Team? 📉 Ever had a project go sideways because everyone had a different idea of what 'finished' meant? The "Paint Done" concept from Brené Brown's "Dare to Lead" book can help you fix that. In a nutshell, it's about being crystal clear on what 'done' means for any task or project. 👍 Why It's Useful Often, people in a team have different ideas about what finishing a task looks like. This leads to confusion, missed deadlines, and even conflicts. "Paint Done" saves everyone's time and energy by aligning expectations right from the start. 🚀 How to Use 'Paint Done' in Your Work: 1. Start Early: Talk about what 'done' means as soon as a new task or project pops up. 2. Be Concrete: Use real-world examples to define what a finished task looks like. 3. Document: Put the definition of 'done' in writing and share it with everyone involved. 4. Check-in: Midway through the task, see if everyone still agrees on what 'done' is. 5. Measure: Once the task is complete, revisit the criteria to ensure everyone feels it was met. 🤔 What About You? Have you tried this or a similar concept? How do you navigate differing expectations in your projects? #ClearCommunication #MondayQuickTip #TeamSuccess #ProductivityTips #ProjectManagement
