In today's dynamic and competitive business landscape, talent strategy is no longer a mere HR function; it's a critical driver of organizational success. If you're a CEO, CHRO or a leader in any capacity, consider focusing on: 1. Differentiating Leadership Capabilities: What sets apart your strategy-driving leaders? 2. Functional Capabilities: What unique skills and experiences do your functional leaders bring to the table? Is there a clear path for people to grow and shine? 3. Success Model: Is it concise, aspirational and reflective of your company's language? 4. Experience Maps: Do you have a clear roadmap of the experiences contributing to functional excellence? 5. Performance Management: Are your goals challenging enough, and are your team members getting transparent coaching? 6. Talent Production Line: Do you have a robust process to identify and nurture high-potential talent? 7. HR Effectiveness: How well is your HR team working together to achieve your strategy? 8. Talent Philosophy: Does your talent management align with the overall business strategy? 9. Talent Strategy: Do you have a clearly defined, outcome-focused three-year plan? 10. Accountability: Are your leaders held accountable for poor talent management? Talent Strategy is beyond just hiring and firing. It's about creating a cohesive environment that fosters growth and drives performance. Thoughts on how your organization is tackling these aspects? #TalentStrategy #Leadership #PerformanceManagement

Executive Coach to HR Leaders🔓| Talent Development Expert🪜| Helping CHROs & CPOs drive the Talent Agenda with development courses, executive coaching, leader assessments & team experiences
According to the Conference Board's C-Suite Outlook for 2024, among YOUR CEO’s top priorities is the Talent Agenda - developing talent internal to the organization! As the HR leader for the organization, what are YOU doing about it? Here are 3 actions you can take as the HR leader to demonstrate your commitment to the CEO's Talent Agenda: 1 - Perform a “mental Talent Agenda audit” 📊 of the CEO’s direct staff, the senior leadership team (SLT). 🧠 How well are the individuals on the SLT prioritizing the talent in their own organizations? How well they are identifying and developing the best people for the future of the business, and how committed are they to driving the CEO’s Talent Agenda? Consider holding a “Talent Agenda Alignment” meeting with the SLT where you agree on the shared approach you will take to the Talent Agenda for the remainder of this year. 2 - Conduct a Succession Plan Review 🔄 with the SLT asking: “with this person on the succession plan, are we valuing their loyalty or their capability?” If the successor is on the list because of the former and not the latter, consider taking them off the list and adding new, more capable successors. 3 - Identifying Future Leaders 🌟: Identify “5 Under 5” – 5 talented people who have been with the organization 5 years or less – who you believe can be future SLT leaders. Make an aggressive plan to accelerate their progress 🚀 through the organization – starting perhaps by assigning members of the SLT to mentor and – where appropriate – champion their accelerated growth. 🌱 Have other ideas or actions you are taking to drive the Talent Agenda? Share them in the comments below 👇 #TalentDevelopment #FutureLeadership #Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #Talent #Coach #LeaderDevelopment #HRCoach #LeaderAssessment #ConnectedApproach

Let's address a critical aspect of your organization's success: effective #engineeringmanagement. It's a simple truth that's often overlooked—no matter how talented your engineers are, a subpar manager can significantly hinder their performance and job satisfaction. The reality is, strong managers are rarer than we'd like to admit. If you're committed to fostering a culture of #innovation and driving your organization forward, it starts with ensuring you have competent leaders who not only have technical acumen but also a genuine commitment to developing their teams. Too often, the selection of managers is based on their individual contributions as engineers rather than their capability to lead and inspire others. A prestigious name or an exciting project portfolio might attract talent, but without strong #leadership, you won't retain or fully utilize that talent. I urge you to invest in identifying, training, and supporting great managers. This is not just an #HR mandate—it's a #strategic imperative that can define the future of your tech teams and your company as a whole. #LeadershipDevelopment #TechManagement #CLevelStrategy #OrganizationalGrowth

Training & Development I Leadership Development I Soft Skills Training I Outbound Team Building I Competency Assessment I Culture Enhancement I Speaker I
Address this one issue and see the results: One of the questions, we ask during many of our programmes is "What is the BIG PICTURE?". How many of our functions, team members are aware of the organization's objective? Here are a few questions that can be leveraged to create this direction of thought: 1. If the objective of the organization is to generate Rs 500 crores in the next one year, how will each function contribute to this?- this is where the Senior Management brainstorms to create a plan for each function. 2. How will the objectives of each function be defined towards this organization's objectives? - this is where the functional heads, HODs work together. 3. How will each role contribute to the function's objective thereby leading to achievement of the organization's objectives? - this is where the managers work to define the contribution of every role. 4. How does my role and what I do impact my function's objectives and how much am I contributing to the organization's objectives?- this is what every individual in the organization should be thinking and working on. Alignment to organization's vision is essential as it implies that everyone is sailing in the same direction. And this alignment is a conscious exercise and must be embarked to attain "UNITY OF THOUGHT". #leadership #management #culture #hr #traininganddevelopment

I help leaders and business owners evolve the world of work. Is your organisation ready to evolve? Are you?
Leadership isn't just about titles; it's about #impact, #influence, and #inspiration. For years, we've been conditioned to see #leadership through the lens of #management practices. But what if we're missing the mark? 📍 Most of what we term as "leadership" today is simply modern management. But let’s get this straight: You #LEAD people. You #MANAGE resources. And let's not forget: People are NOT a #resource . 🔥 Think about "#HumanResources" - Shouldn't it be more about resources FOR humans? ✨ True leadership is transformative. It’s not about just guiding someone for a task. It’s about helping individuals #evolve. Our view? #Leadership is all about: "Helping people become the best version of themselves, so they can do their life's best work while in your care and beyond." That means you don't need a position or title to demonstrate leadership, and I care about you as a #human being first, #employee second. To my fellow #HR and #OrganizationalDevelopment leaders: Are you simply tired of ticking boxes? Or are you wanting more? Are you longing to dive deep, and foster an environment where leadership is nurtured as a continuous journey? It's high time we stopped viewing leadership development as a one-time program and started seeing it as a profound process. Certificates fade, but the impact remains. For those in medium to large organizations, the question isn’t if you need a leadership shift, but when you’ll make it. ✨ Final Thought: What if, instead of just teaching leadership, we lived it, breathed it, and inspired it? #LeadershipDevelopment #OrganizationalGrowth #TalentAcquisition #EmployeeEngagement #HRBestPractices #DiversityAndInclusion #HRtech #EmployeeWellness #LearningAndDevelopment #PerformanceManagement #HRCompliance #WorkplaceCulture
