As June comes to an end, we celebrate our last employee feature in honor of Pride Month. This week’s featured employee is a member of two of our employee resources groups, Sirva Out Loud (SOL) and the Diverse Employee Network (DEN), Sharona Ratchford, SHRM-CP, Senior Talent Partner. 1wAs a former history teacher, I wish the day celebrated as the end of slavery was the ratification of the 13th amendment on December 6, 1865 that actually ended slavery. Would have been a school day so a teachable moment. Juneteenth was only relevant in Texas, which is why is was not well known in the rest of the country.
