The push for law firms to develop formal ESG strategies has often been attributed to the public sector - with those firms engaged in tendering for panels in this field the first to set out clear ESG strategies and commentary. It’s interesting to see here the challenge being made for general counsel to champion this in the private sector. The article suggests that "completing a formal assessment of material issues with stakeholders is still relatively uncommon [and] even one or two major multinational companies mandating that their law firms use a standard process to prioritize material issues would advance collective the overall legal industry’s maturity of ESG strategies a great deal". We would argue that in the UK, law firms are seeing a serious demand from the private sector in terms of having a clear ESG commitment and measurable activities. What is your experience? https://loom.ly/5JyH3x8 Adam Woodhall and Manu Kanwar, it would be great to get your thoughts on this! #ELE #LegalMarketing #LawFirmESG
