This Super Bowl, many in the disability community were left disappointed by the lack of accessibility. American Sign Language (ASL) performances during the National Anthem and Halftime show were only available online, with no announcement on the broadcast. And even online, the ASL was not in sync with the network, creating a difficult experience for those who are hard of hearing or deaf. But there is hope for progress. Suggestions for improvement include adding pre-game ASL as a Picture-in-Picture (PiP), putting up a QR code to view the ASL halftime show online, and improving the viewing experience with better video and captions. Most importantly, communication is key. We need the National Football League (NFL), CBS, and YoutubeTV to work together to make these changes happen. Let's strive for greater accessibility and inclusion in sports. #Sports #Accessibility #Inclusion

ZANEC joins the rest of the world in celebrating the first-ever International Day of Play, a special day dedicated to the magic of play. Every child has the fundamental right to play, as recognized by the Convention on the Rights of the Child Article 31. Additionally, early childhood development is also critical for play. Therefore every child’s right to play should be respected and fulfilled. According to UNICEF here are some of the importance of Play 1. Play improves children’s physical health and motor skills, keeping them active, energetic, and ready to conquer any adventure 2. Play sparks young minds, boosting their curiosity and sharpening their problem-solving skills. 3. Through play, children navigate their feelings, much like heroes in a story, discovering strength and resilience along the way. 4. Play is the ultimate multiplayer experience, teaching teamwork, cooperation, and empathy – the keys to a rewarding life. #InternationalDayOfPlay #IDOP2024

For the first-ever International Day of Play we wanted to say thank you to all our customers and clients who help to provide safe play areas for Children. Children have a right to play under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989, yet around 70% of adults aren’t aware of this right. Help celebrate #dayofplay and raise awareness for safe play anywhere in the world. Play is crucial for children's learning, well-being, and development. Through play children practice roles and build skills such as concentration, learning, memory, and language. https://lnkd.in/e2K7Kbt2.

Article 31 reteiterates the #RighttoPlay...So what stops us? WHAT IS THE RIGHT TO PLAY ACT? The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child's Article 31 states the following: “States Parties recognize the right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts. #play IS FUNDAMENTAL- NOT EXTRA! The Convention recognises that free play is not an optional extra for children: it is fundamental to their physical, social, mental and emotional development and intrinsic to their health and happiness in the present moment. Article 31 of the UNCRC says that children and young people have the right to have fun in the way they want to, whether by playing sports, watching films, or doing something else entirely. They have the right to rest, too. #playmatters

The most important aspect for the development of skills of children.
Amazing news! The United Nations has declared June 11 the International Day of Play! We’re thrilled to see this global recognition of the importance of play. For close to 25 years, we’ve used play to protect, educate, and empower children, helping them stay in school and graduate, resist exploitation, overcome prejudice, prevent disease, and heal from the trauma of war and displacement. We see the hashtag #PowerofPlay every day, and we believe every child should have the hashtag #RightToPlay. We’re proud to be one of the founding organizations for this day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you on June 11th! https://lnkd.in/gJBxdKnY
