Throughout Kellie’s career, she has demonstrated a commitment to professional and personal growth, starting as a Staff RN in the Operating Room at St. Luke’s Hospital before moving to the Emergency Department at Morton Hospital. In 2013, she became the Business Manager of Perioperative Services, later advancing to Nursing Informatics Manager, Perioperative Director, and Patient Care Director roles. By 2018, she was the Senior Director of Quality and Regulatory, Operative Services, and High-Level Disinfection for Steward Health Care Systems. Most recently, she served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Carney Hospital. Now, Kellie has joined Signature Healthcare as the Nursing Director for the Ambulatory Surgical Program, where she will be responsible for opening and managing the new Ambulatory Surgical Unit. Her extensive experience in perioperative and regulatory readiness makes her a valuable addition to our hardworking team. Kellie’s typical day involves supporting ambulatory surgery operations, ensuring regulatory readiness, and updating policies. She emphasizes trust and collaboration within the team, particularly in the ambulatory setting. Balancing her responsibilities with her personal life, she prioritizes family time, celebrating with themed gatherings, and enjoying her backyard pool during the summer. She advises those aspiring to have a similar career trajectory to seek mentorship from a strong leader.
