Our Summer Release wasn’t the only thing Brex shipped last week... 👀 I'm excited to share our latest brand campaign! 🔥 We built it using the same principle as the release: helping customers make every dollar count. No great company was ever built on savings alone. Our goal at Brex is to help customers extend the power of every dollar to actually move the needle in their business, in 3 ways: ⚙️ Control: We help customers control spend before it happens, and 99% of their spend on Brex ($50b!) is on budget, in policy automatically. 🤖 Automate: Customers automated 11 million hours (!) of busy work with Brex, which now go towards driving growth and building amazing things. 💰 Earn: Customers have earned $680M in rewards and $300M in yield, and counting. (This is not an estimate, but actual income created by the product.)

It’s too hard to build a global {marketplace, financial services company, franchise, or SaaS platform}. Fund flows are what make it so! That’s why I’m excited to crack open a new chapter at Stripe, leading the product team that’s building the next generation of money management APIs and payout capabilities. By making our APIs and payout capabilities even more powerful, it’ll be even easier to fund, store, and spend money with just a few lines of code. And that’s what we mean by the “GDP of the Internet!”

When I started my business, I found myself spending countless hours manually reviewing customer data on Excel sheets. This took time away that could have been spent on more important aspects of the business, so we built a custom tool to meet our needs. However, developing and testing the tool turned out to be more challenging and time-consuming than anticipated. Many businesses face similar challenges, spending hours managing their data and struggling to find the best tools that align with their specific requirements. HIFI found themselves in a similar situation. However, they chose to leverage Appsmith to improve their internal operations. That is how they reduced the time spent on debugging #InternalTools by about 75% and achieved at least a 50% reduction in the time spent searching for business information. What's even more impressive is that it only took them 30 minutes to create a fully functional app using #Appsmith. If you have a similar story of how Appsmith has helped your business scale faster and operate more efficiently, we would love to hear from you! 🙌 ✉️
Have you ever spent hours manually sifting through customer information and struggling with internal processes? This was the story of HIFI, a FinTech startup that drastically improved their business operations by building #InternalTools with #Appsmith. ⚡ Laura (Sachiko) Williams, Senior Technical Product Manager at HIFI, shares how they reduced about 75% of debugging time for internal tools and at least 50% of the time spent searching for information for the business. Read their story here. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gFB6bQwp

It's 100x easier to be more decisive when everyone on the team knows what the team's goals/priorities/etc. are. That's math. Our goal was to launch as soon as possible. Shutting down our beta program was a 5 second decision when put into that context. "Good leaders are decisive" because good leaders and their teams all know what they're optimizing for; what their goals are. https://lnkd.in/gNXq6Z9Y
We shut down our beta program. It was an easy choice actually. Made us move faster. But we had to do it in a way that wouldn't cause panic. This was last March. Lot's of turmoil in Fintech. I wrote about why, how we did it (I include my emails), and how it turned out: https://lnkd.in/ghFVkKdg

Board Member | CEO | CEO Advisor | Author | Product Management Expert | Instructor | Designing product organizations for scalability.
“It's so important to have customers you can test with and have good relationships as when you're a startup, when you’re scale up, and you're pre-product market fit or young enough. You cannot wireframe everything. You cannot prototype everything. You need someone where you can test life and test on your product directly.” Alex's perspective on testing life products versus wireframes or prototypes is spot-on! In our discussion in this latest Product Thinking episode, Alex Wattrelos emphasized the importance of genuine user testing, especially in payment products, where real interactions like payments and tips matter significantly more than simulated scenarios. We dive into the rollercoaster journey of scaling up and down during the 2022 tech crisis, tracing sunday's incredible evolution from a mere concept to a powerhouse fintech company with 450 dedicated employees and a staggering $203 million in seed funding. 🚀 Throughout our conversation, Alex generously shared his wealth of insights garnered from his tenure at sunday and his current role as Chief Product Officer at FURIOUS SQUAD. From navigating the complexities of defining product vision to valuing user feedback above all else, every twist and turn in the path toward market fit and profitability was an opportunity for growth and learning. What strategies do you employ to ensure that your product testing captures real-life interactions and effectively shapes your product's success? I’d love to hear your insights!
