CCA’s flagship fundraising event, Spring for Kids on June 20th, welcomed over 200 distinguished guests! Our guests represented a diverse range of CCA's supporters including our 2024 Champions of Children, CT Treasurer Erick Russell and the Youth Action Hub, and the Sustainability Award honoree, Community Leadership Program Bill Graustein, CCA’s Board Directors, current and former staff, our event and journal sponsors and community partners, and the many children, youth, families, and members of CCA’s own Speak Up! youth group. We also welcomed six new event sponsors who share our commitment to improving the lives of children in our communities including two new Presenting Sponsors: Dalio Education and Siebert Williams Shank. Siebert Williams Shank was honored to serve as book-running senior manager for the Cedar Hill ISD’s $243 million Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2024 transaction, which of note, was the firm’s first time serving the District. The tax-exempt bonds successfully priced on July 10th and were issued to finance construction, acquisition, renovation, improvement and equipment of school buildings, including equipment used for school safety and security purposes, for the purchase of necessary sites for District facilities, and for the purchase of new school buses, the acquisition, improvement, equipment and update of technology, and to pay the costs associated with the issuance of the Bonds. The bond transaction received significant demand from investors and the strength of the book allowed spreads to tighten by up to twelve basis points from preliminary pricing levels.
