Today is Zero Discrimination Day. Synterex is taking this opportunity to reinforce our commitment to fighting workplace discrimination. Everyone deserves to live a healthy and fulfilling life with dignity, regardless of disease status, work profile, gender, race, or ethnicity. The first Zero Discrimination Day was celebrated on March 1, 2014. It was launched by UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé with the goal of preventing discrimination and stigmatization against people living with HIV/AIDS (human immunodeficiency syndrome/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Since then, this day has been observed annually to promote inclusiveness, compassion, peace, equity, and tolerance. On this Zero Discrimination Day, learn how you can join the initiative to help create a more inclusive world by visiting: https://lnkd.in/gc-BM3H. #ZeroDiscrimination

Discrimination based on gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, HIV status, health status or sex work is a human rights violation. When we empower and uphold the rights of every individual, ensuring fairness, dignity, and access to healthcare, we build a foundation for collective well-being and health. By championing these rights, we pave the way for improved health outcomes and a more inclusive society. We must protect everyone’s rights to protect everyone’s health. #ZeroDiscrimination

Zero discrimination day calls to end discrimination, stigmatisation and criminalisation. It challenges all institutions and people of influence to not only be non-discriminatory but to be anti-discrimination. Saying no to all inequalities - whether because of gender, income, race, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity and religion. Such inequalities undermine justice and dignity. On Zero Discrimination Day this year, under the theme 'Save lives: Decriminalise', UNAIDS is highlighting how the decriminalisation of key populations and people living with HIV saves lives and helps advance the end of the AIDS pandemic.
