Anon asked me - “Anita, How do I Beat Procrastination??” Actually the question was “Annie, I need your help, I can’t seem to finish up the courses that I take, or do anything I set my heart to do, I tried all ways I could but evertime I set a goal and give myself tasks, I get dizzy, lazy and unmotivated - I feel like a failure” This is a very interesting question as it’s very relatable, almost everyone deals with procrastination. But I don't want to! There are some days where you just don't feel like it. You'd rather stay in bed, watch another episode on Netflix, or simply find any distraction (more sports highlights, please) to keep you from your High Payoff Activities (HVA). This morning, I came across Colby Kultgen's awesome post that outlines some simple but effective tools to help break through your mental block. Being in action, whatever this may look like, every day is vital to moving toward achieving your goals and desired results. It’s a choice - your choice! This is why I particularly love #1: The Five-Minute Rule. It's a simple but powerful focusing function that sets the stage for #3: Action Leads to Motivation. Personally speaking, I find that once you take action, the motivation builds, and you quickly experience your flywheel start to accelerate! I am also a huge advocate of #6: Remove Digital Clutter. One of my personal best practices is to place my phone in a far corner of the house each evening. The physical space is just enough for me to prevent the 'need' to check my phone as a distraction, thus allowing me to be more present to people and/or tasks around me. Stay focused, stay dedicated, and most importantly, stay hungry, my friends! 💪 🤘 #Productivity #Strategy #GSD

LOVE your Goals 🎯 ? But CANT reach them ? with Procrastination standing tall between you both ?? Loved these Spot on Tips from Colby Kultgen to help sail through ✨️ While ALL of these are angels to our rescue, what Additionally propelled my procrastination busting journey ( and for many of my mentees as well ), was a Holistically enhanced version of Tip # 7 : Clear the clutter in your environment, as below : 👉 tidy up work desk and any area that visually affects during your work. After clearing / tidying up, You can also place props that remind you constantly and lead you to tick that task off your list 👉 use a natural source of scent that boosts sense of smell. This can be an essential oil diffuser, some sort of incense with natural ingredients, fresh flowers or simply a naturally perfumed oil / itra ( my favourite ! ) Pro tip 🚀: Ensure to take about 10 conscious long slow deep breaths in this scent 👉 use of some sort of soothing mantra or instrumental therapeutic music or sounds of flowing water, etc at the background in a very low non invading volume 👉 use some Yogic mudra to boost, balance and elevate your energy by touch. This readies the mind and body and helps to reap the best productivity. 👉 What you eat or drink prior or during the task highly impacts your productivity, grasping power and effectiveness. This is because, different timings of the days calls for different types of food and drink in diffrrent amounts.
