Interesting reading as always from Drewry Shipping Consultants Ltd. Having been involved with many of the terminal concessions in the 2000s it's not surprising to read that a high proportion have been extended or renewed with the incumbent operators. There are however clear opportunities to re-tender in certain specific circumstances as highlighted below. A lot has clearly changed in the last 20 years or so and much of this learning can now be factored in to terminal concessions moving forward.
