At Shine Gathering for Women Foundation, our mission is to create safe and supportive spaces for underserved women from historically marginalized and minority backgrounds. We empower these women to live fully and freely, fostering healing, empowerment, and resilience through innovative programs and holistic support. Our vision is a world where every woman, regardless of minority background, can access high value resources and support needed to live freely and fully. We envision communities where gender equality is not just a goal, but a lived reality, and where women are empowered to lead with lasting confidence and purpose. Our values encompass freedom, inner healing, community, peace, and trust. Join us in creating a brighter, more equitable future for all women. We are thankful to the Foundation for Black Communities for their incredible support to bringing this vision to life. Stay tuned for further updates on our restorative programs and retreat initiatives especially the innovative project funded by the Foundation for Black Communities , with partial support from the Government of Canada.” #EmpowerWomen #GenderEquality #FundFFBC #SupportBlackcommunities #Empowerment #B.I.G #EquityJustice #AmplifyBlackIdeas

In the next installment of our blog series, we shift perspectives to hear from Intersect, a grantee partner under the WVL-Caribbean project, about what it is like to be resourced through a women’s fund. Intersect aims to advance women’s rights and gender equality in eight Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member states. While focusing on digital/cyber-feminist activism to challenge multiple forms of inequality, they are committed to centring the experiences and needs of queer, trans, and non-binary people and those with disabilities who are Black, Indigenous, and identify as people of colour. Implementing WVL-Caribbean through a women’s fund has resulted in Intersect’s thriving success, especially for a nascent, previously unregistered organization with no previous history of funding–factors that are typically barriers to accessing many donor funding opportunities. Intersect and the Equality Fund’s trust-based relationship is in part due to the feminist approach to risk adopted by women’s funds in which they consider the lived experience and the political knowledge that comes from supporting feminist, rights-based work as an asset, not a liability. Philanthropic organizations have been focused on DEI work for decades. After 2020, that focus has only intensified. However, there is a difference between supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the surrounding community and reflecting those values internally. It’s great to give grants to racial justice or gender equality initiatives, but how diverse is your board? Are the women in your organization paid the same as the men? Is DEI “a part of the fabric” of your organization? https://lnkd.in/eC_wfNZM

Women are inherently creators by nature. Creators of life. Creators of businesses. Creators of art. Creators of families. Creators of big ideas. Creators of traditions. Creators of memories. Creators of good. May women always find the courage to use their gifts to create an impact on this world in their own unique way. 🌏✨🌈🤸🏽♀️💛 As we observe International Women's Day, we must recognize the power of investing in women. It's an investment in our shared future, in the untapped potential that can drive unprecedented progress across every sector. The statistics remind us of the work ahead, but they also tell a story of resilience, growth, and the transformative impact of empowering women. I encourage you to invest both your funds and time in championing policies that uphold gender equality and safeguard the population’s most vulnerable women. Be a supporter of initiatives that empower women's safety and success, protect LGBTQ women and girls, advocate for women of color, and celebrate every stride towards progress. Happy #InternationalWomensDay. Here's to investing in women today, for a better tomorrow. #InvestInWomen #IntersectionalFeminism

Embracing women is the act of recognizing, respecting, and valuing the contributions of women in society. Embracing Women seeks to empower and uplift women by providing them with resources, support, and a platform to share their stories. It is a global initiative that works to create a more equitable and inclusive world for women by advocating for gender equality, promoting economic opportunities, and providing access to education and healthcare. Also, it works to create a safe space for women to express themselves and to build a community of support and solidarity. This survey seeks to investigate the extent to which women are involved in your community. Let us here your voice. https://lnkd.in/drRcMZ2v

Let's #celebratewomen making progress, today and every day. This Women's History Month, UBS not only celebrates the tremendous achievements of women who have paved the way. We also pledge our ongoing commitment to supporting women on their continued journeys. UBS research continues to show that when women are engaged in the financial decisions that impact them and their future, everyone wins. In fact, almost 90% of women agree that money is a tool that can be used to help them fulfill their life's purpose. This Women's History Month, and every month, we strive to help women on their path to greater purpose, and to help them continue to reach for and achieve their goals. #LiftWomenUp Action of the Week: Speak up when you see injustice. Stand up for women’s rights across the board—at home and abroad. Lend your voice, march, donate, share, and encourage other women to join you. Speaking out helps to shine a light on problems and helps the victims receive the justice they deserve. When we remain silent about injustice, we are complicit in that injustice. This belief has guided my personal and professional journey, leading me to stand up for what’s right, even when it’s not easy. I’ve seen firsthand how raising awareness can spark change, from the conversations it starts to the policies it can influence. Speaking up against injustices, especially those faced by women, is not just a moral duty. It’s a step toward creating a society free from sexism and misogyny—a world where every woman, regardless of her background, feels safe, respected, and empowered. Remember, every action counts, no matter how small. We are all #InThisTogether, and by working together, we can create a world where gender equality becomes our reality and more than a dream.
