Essentially, what movant is positioning progressively is that there is beyond Prima facie evidence, for asserting gingerly, nimbly, that Mayor Ras J. Baraka (Democrat) and his “legislative or policy” advisers as include press adviser are at the least awfully, unquestionably coming again fundamentally, flawed ab-initio needing immediate remedial action deployed accordingly. Elucidating further is that there can be no room for sophisticated fundamental method of menacing, domestic terrorism or illegal militia. Especially, for the reasoning that time-tested public law has asserted that State of New Jersey registered certified businesses are not subject to local ordinances (city code) except to extent NJ legislature or federal legislature previously clearly approved. This implicitly imply that likes of Solidarity Path Project once fully granted US IRS 501 (C) approval cannot be subject to egregious fascism local ordinance that does not help in-equity in wealth & income which normally has hitherto enabled all even those of “window’s mite” capacity (ability) participate in therapeutic living social economic activities meritoriously. Mayor Ras J. Baraka cannot factually substantiate that there is 55 food pantries & soup kitchens throughout the City. Especially, for the reasoning that any food pantry & soup kitchen registered as serving Essex county residents cannot be considered as member of City of Newark’ food pantry & soup kitchen even to the full knowing of Mr. Ras J. A year from today, we were asked: “What will it take to create a more accessible, equitable, and complete food security system?” • We laid a foundation to this question and part of our solution is- solving food apartheid by recreating our own food system in East Knoxville through a Black led movement. • • We had the pleasure of presenting our year one shareout of our impact report. We are honored to be a part of the food and land justice work in our city. It excites us to think about the future of Black Knoxville's Food Landscape in East Knoxville. We wouldn't be able to do this work without United Way Greater Knoxville, Canvas Can Do Miracles, 3 Cubed plus a plethora of other partners who fund and support our movement. • • To think we are just at Y1 & have covered so much ground is astonishing. Again, we couldn’t do this without a receptive community, committed volunteers, aligned collaborators & partners. Last year, we had an ambition goal of establishing 100 gardens in the city by year 1. Well, we will have a count of 167 gardens on the ground by December 2023. It’s an honor to lead this collective as it takes courage, grit, and fortitude to do this work while sowing seeds of resistance and wisdom. Did you know that food insecurity affects rural America in the following ways: *In 2021, 11% of rural households were food insecure. *9 out of 10 counties with the highest food insecurity rates are rural. *Rural communities make up 63% of all U.S counties, but 87% of counties with the highest food insecurity rates. *Food insecurity is linked to a wide range of negative health outcomes, and rural Americans are at higher risk for poor health outcomes than their urban counterparts. *Although food security is slightly higher in rural areas than in urban areas, 12.5% of individuals living in rural communities were food insecure in 2019.
