bp and Shell refuse to answer questions from their pensioners because they cannot disclose the reasons for reneging on pension promises as stakeholders will not like the optics. Essentially they are seeking to raid the pension fund surplus for corporate (and indirectly executive reward) gain, rather than use the fund for the reasons it should be used, ie paying pension increases in line with inflation. It is a corporate pensions scandal that government are watching carefully as it us both immoral and harmful #bp #shell #BPpensions

What about sorting out the discretionary pension rises. This should have been high oh the #Shell AGM today as it affects so many pensioners. Please #Shell stop dodging the issue, it's getting boring and embarrassing.

Great work, Shell Transparency and Transition Efforts I am passionate about joining to deploy the Hydrogen energy sector and happy to learn that Shell is a company partner of IFP School France, which is considering me for the new Advanced Masters in Hydrogen Project and Engineering (HyPE). Could Shell be so kind to sponsor my study in this field? This will be an investment to both my study and the advancement of Hydrogen energy for sustainable development. The training will be applicable to advancing many Shell hydrogen projects like the Holland Hydrogen1, REFYHNE.

Shell you are as bad as bp in your appalling treatment of pensioners. As a bp pensioner I have lost trust in my former employer, along with almost 3,000 other members of the bp Pensioners Campaign Group. For three years bp has rejected the cost-of-living pension increases we were promised. More importantly, today at the AGM, #Shell once again refused to answer questions from its own pensioners on why they have chosen to deliver real terms cuts to pensions. The fund set up to benefit pensioners had a huge surplus to enable discretionary increases to match RPI for every pensioner, yet the #Shell refused citing nonsense about other stakeholders needs which are irrelevant. Having previously refused to acknowledge discretionary increases have been the norm when RPI was higher than the scheme minimum increase, today #Shell now says it doesn’t count because it was in the past. Yes, it was in the past and as far as we can go back, #Shell was happy to pay discretionary increases but the new corporate mindset appears to have first forgotten and now dismissed discretionary increases. So if #Shell thinks there’s no need for discretionary increases when inflation hits 14%, exactly what does the company think would warrant an increase and why did the leaders who established the fund in the first place include the ability to do so? #YouCannotBeSureOfShell https://tinyurl.com/ShellPensionsGroup

And did ALL the Shareholders many of which would be ex SHELL UK 🇬🇧 Pensioners VOTE not to award cost of living increases to their pensions for the last 3 yrs or was it someone else making the decision. And the pensioners who were strongly backed a real term increase in our pensions due to real term cut of almost 11%. Come on do the decent thing and treat us pensioners with integrity, we deserve it, we helped to make the company great and don't you need excellent reputation management to attract the ire de la crew in new recruits - who may also wish to be treated well in future?
