Since 2022, we've been extremely fortunate to partner with Veronica Robles and the Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC), for a number of Hispanic Heritage events at our stores in celebration of Latin American arts and culture. These photos depict the wonderful events that our stores have been so proud to host within our communities. We are very much looking forward to celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in 2024!

Post #1 about our loving 🥰 community partners, Shaw's Supermarkets. In 2022, I received a call from Marcus Amann, the manager of the East Boston store. He told me that they wanted to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and during the event present a donation to the Veronica Robles Cultural Center (VROCC). ME: Whaaaat? Really? MARCUS: Yes, we truly appreciate what you do for our community, and this is a token of appreciation from Shaw's. What happened next? I organized my cultural family, and we did what we do best: bring joy to Shaw's staff, executives, shoppers, and the community through our music and dance performances. Members of our entrepreneurship community also participated, promoting and selling their products in the store during the event. We danced, we laughed, people won prizes, and VROCC received a check from Shaw's. Words cannot express how appreciative we are to Shaw's and their amazing executives and employees. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all who were impacted by the tragic events that unfolded in Lewiston, Maine, last evening. We will continue to stand by our neighbors and local communities during this time of heartache that has shocked and saddened us all. To ensure the safety of all who walk through our doors, our Lewiston, Auburn, Bath, Freeport & Brunswick, Maine, stores remained closed at this time. We will reopen the stores as soon as it's safe to do so. **10/28 UPDATE** With the lifting of the shelter in place, all Shaw’s store locations in Maine are open, including Lewiston, Auburn, Bath, & Brunswick which reopened, effective 10AM Saturday, October 28th. Ecommerce service will be restored in our Bath, Freeport and Brunswick stores on Sunday morning. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time.
