🔍 Spotlight on Kamonyi ALL 🔍 In our recent 2nd round of co-creation workshops, stakeholders in Kamonyi ALL collaborated closely to address critical challenges in cassava cultivation through innovative agroecological practices. 👉 Challenges Identified: • Soil erosion • Nutrient depletion ✅ Selected Agroecological Practices: • Fanya-ju terraces with grasses and trees/bushes on the bounds • Intercropping cassava with legumes • Utilization of local manure, organic fertilizer produced from town residues, synthetic fertilizer, and lime. 🌱 These practices were chosen to foster sustainable agriculture in Kamonyi, ensuring resilience and productivity while mitigating environmental impacts. ✨ Dr. Paraskevi Chantzi, as project manager of Carbonica on behalf of i-BEC and National Supervisor of the Greek MAP Ecosystem, and Mr. Dimitrios Bardakidis, Co-Founder at ena Development Consultants cosigned the Stakeholder's Registration Form, yesterday on 21 November 2023. Carbonica EU is welcoming ena Development Consultants as stakeholders to the national #Multi_Actor_Platform of the Greek place-based innovation ecosystem for carbon farming.
