What makes a good impact report? IMO it’s the clarity around #transparency of progress to publicly stated goals, the reflection on #learning from success and misses, release of new data / measures / insight, and the courage to lay out compelling and challenging initiatives for the future. Seattle Fish Company & Lombardi Brothers Meats excels in all these areas and the 2023 report, led and summarized by Hamish Walker and Savanna Ronco, is no exception. In particular – Seattle Fish Company & Lombardi Brothers Meats commissioned a study to measure Scope 1 & 2 #emissions, as well as use public data to estimate the Scope 3 emissions of their products. The result? A very transparent way to look at your ‘#foodprint’ and make decisions about the products you choose to serve and consume.  This level of insight, transparency and data represents a first in this space of the seafood supply chain, and the effort stands out as a true innovation and provides an empirical and science based method to evaluate our own choices. The Seattle Fish Company & Lombardi Brothers Meats 2023 Impact Report provides an #innovative method to make decisions about the impact of seafood products we consume. By combining their recent Scope 1-2 Emissions, with publicly available Scope 3 data on seafood - Seattle Fish Company & Lombardi Brothers Meats has advanced a rough estimate of the carbon intensity of various seafood products. Not surprisingly, shellfish commands a spot as the least carbon intensive choice.
