What does the system 'want'?
What does the global, tech-driven, economic system actually want?
Not in the intentional sense of course (the way a human wants something), but in the sense of its intrinsic optimization mechanics, its continuous recalibration towards paths of lesser resistance.
What is its logic? What is its direction? What does a saturation of its dynamics look like?
How much can we actually redirect its dynamic, with policy interventions?
How much do we actually add to its momentum, by adding significant amounts of technological infrastructure on a daily basis?
How much more does the system 'want', if, in essence, we only keep adding to its aggregate complexity?
What would we want the system to want?
