The SEANERGY Project is about to close the second stage of development "Gap analysis of the EU port clean energy transition" to focus on stage 3 " "Creating the Master Plan". WP3 will take information obtained from the previous two work packages to construct a suitable Master Plan that will be able to set the consortium’s and external stakeholders’ goals and objectives during and after the project, by providing all the necessary tools and content that will aid them to choose the right path towards a greener energy & fuel operation in port. In parallel, this work package will integrate the Master Plan’s information into an Industry Academy program that will foster the preparation of future port professionals for current and still unknown challenges, while also allowing them to put their knowledge to the test by having a real-life experience on the decision-making process for the green port transformation. In case you do not have time to watch the whole session, let me summarise the key conclusions: 1) The technology for Data Spaces is ready. The projects identified and developed what is needed 2) The Commission defined the High Level Use Cases, but it is now time to define detailed use cases with a clear impact to convince the stakeholders to join in 3) It is important to keep it simple. Key actors may be scared by data spaces if we do not make our story easy to follow and understand Let us build a Common European Energy #dataspace together! int:net project
Great discussion yesterday in Brussels as part of EUSEW 2024 concerning #interoperability and #datasovereignty for a Common European Energy #dataspace. If you missed the meeting, you can watch it here: https://lnkd.in/e2vKG4VA int:net project Fraunhofer FIT RWTH Aachen University

I am happy to announce the release of CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency’s 2023 Annual Activity Report, showcasing our achievements throughout the past year, demonstrating the significant impact we made for shaping the green future of Europe. The year 2023 saw an increase of our portfolio, with a record commitment of €10.6 billion to new projects: ✅ €5.3 billion was paid to #ConnectingEurope projects to build sustainable transport and energy infrastructure, whilst Moldova and Ukraine were associated to the programme to reinforce the Solidarity Lanes. Moreover, newly awarded #CEFTransport projects will enhance European railways and deploy further the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) for safer, more interoperable rail transport, while #CEFEnergy supported Projects of Common Interest (PCIs), including contribution to the construction of the first high-voltage underwater electricity interconnection between Sicily and Tunisia. ✅ The Agency’s #HorizonEU portfolio grew to more than 1200 innovation projects which aim to fight climate change and to make the energy and transport sectors more resilient, efficient and competitive. ✅ The first #InnovationFund auction call for renewable #hydrogen was published. Results of the evaluation were announced in April 2024, with seven projects, which were awarded nearly €720 million. Together, the winning bidders plan to produce 1.58 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen over ten years, avoiding more than 10 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. ✅ The #LIFEprogramme public dashboard was released, offering detailed data on over 1400 LIFE projects aiming at circular and energy-efficient EU economy as well as to protect the environment and to halt and reverse biodiversity loss. In addition, free tailored advisory support started to be provided through the Green Assist framework contract. ✅ Newly awarded #EMFAF projects to support Blue Careers and Women in the Blue Economy started their implementation alongside several key contracts to support DG MARE’s policy activities. ✅ Lastly, CINEA also kicked off the implementation of the EU renewable energy financing mechanism #RENEWFM in 2023, by launching the first call under this instrument. I encourage you to consult the full report to learn more about CINEA’s activities in 2023 📝 https://europa.eu/!mPg6TN
