Whether you're advancing your career or looking to upskill employees across your organization, it's crucial to identify the certifications with the highest return on investment. Most of us want the certifications we pursue to actually teach us something valuable, in addition to earning an in-demand digital badge that stands for something. So how does the Certified Scrum Product Owner measure up to these standards? From research we conducted with the Business Agility Institute, we know that 77% of hiring managers ranked the importance of certifications as 3 or higher on a scale of 1 to 5. According to Coursera, the CSPO has been one of the seven most-mentioned certifications in job listings in recent years. Employers recognize a CSPO. Not only when they're hiring product owners, but when they're hiring any role that collaborates closely with multiple groups including leadership and stakeholders; when they need someone who understands market competition and customer needs. And when they need a person who can see a project, product, or other work through from vision to fruition—and who can handle pivots and surprises along the way. Not only does the CSPO from Scrum Alliance signal all of these values to employers, the course itself equips you with applicable, relevant scrum and agile knowledge. You'll learn how to practice agile ways of working and thinking in order to adapt to market changes and deliver value early and regularly. You'll learn about working with multiple stakeholders and how to balance their (sometimes competing) interests and requests. You'll find out how to develop a product goal collaboratively and understand how it can align your team around a common cause to maximize value for the customer. The CSPO learning outcomes are readily applicable to an array of jobs: product ownership and others. The CSPO is worth it to stand out from a pool of product-focused, business-focused candidates while also learning new skills to help you do your job better. #ProductOwner #Agile

🔝 PSPO is an internationally acknowledged certification that validates the expertise of individuals in roles such as Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Product Managers. It serves as the benchmark in the realm of product management. 👉 Issued by Scrum.org through a rigorous qualification exam, PSPO is a lifelong certification, exempt from renewal, and is recognized as a more challenging assessment compared to the CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) provided by the Scrum Alliance. 📌 Comprising three levels, PSPO caters to professionals at different career stages. 1️⃣ PSPO I is suitable for beginners, confirming a foundational understanding of Scrum and its application in projects. 2️⃣ PSPO II requires practical experience and a profound grasp of Scrum principles, testing both knowledge and situational application. 3️⃣ PSPO III is designed for seasoned Product Owners and Managers, featuring intricate, real-life scenarios that demand extensive experience and knowledge. 👉 The exam content for each level revolves around key areas such as Scrum Framework knowledge and application, product management aligned with Agile principles, and organizational development in accordance with Agile methodologies. 🤔 Why go for the PSPO certification? The decision to pursue PSPO certification is justified by statistical evidence indicating higher average salaries for certified professionals. Possessing an internationally recognized qualification is a testament to one's knowledge and skills, enhancing credibility in the job market. This is particularly advantageous for those seeking opportunities with foreign or international companies, simplifying both the hiring process and day-to-day work. 👉 Furthermore, holding a PSPO qualification grants access to Scrum.org resources, and discounts on related products, and facilitates networking with other certified professionals. #bdg #bdgtrainings #PSPO #scrumcertification

The role of a Scrum Master is often associated with a technical background. Does this leave you out if you are not very technical? I am here to tell you that taking the leap from a non-technical background to become a successful Scrum Master is possible. How? Embrace Your Strengths: Your non-technical background brings a fresh viewpoint to problem-solving and collaboration. You may have great communication skills, empathy, and strong organizational skills. All these are more important than technical know-how. Immerse Yourself: Dive into the world of Agile and Scrum. Some great places to start are the Agile Manifesto and the Scrum Guide. Take the time to also attend workshops and webinars to expand your knowledge and start networking with experienced practitioners. Consider Certification: Scrum Master certification will give you the solid foundation you are seeking. Some of the options available include Certified Scrum Master (CSM), which is the industry recognized certification. These courses do not have any prerequisites regarding your technical ability. Here at MentorMe, we can help guide you in the right direction. Find a Mentor: You will be much more comfortable transitioning into Scrum Mastery if you find a mentor to guide you. Their guidance will help you appreciate the intricacies of becoming a Scrum Master and what is really involved in the day-to-day role. This will boost your confidence to move forward. Gain Some Experience: If you have the opportunity, join an Agile team as an observer to gain hands-on experience and insights into the Scrum process. Take the Leap: After gaining some confidence, educating yourself, or getting certified, jump into a Scrum Master role with both feet. Remember, the most important skills for a Scrum Master are soft skills such as communication and problem-solving skills. Once you are in the role, put your soft skills to work and find success. Scrum is not about technical expertise; it’s about facilitating collaboration and removing impediments. If viewed correctly, your non-technical background could be an asset. It will help you avoid diving too deep into engineering details, which could limit the team’s freedom to make decisions. Don’t let your starting point hold you back from a career as a Scrum Master. #CareerAdvice #ScrumMaster #AgileLeadership #Agile
