As we mark the 22nd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, I find myself thinking not only of the immense loss and sorrow that day brought but also of the incredible unity and resilience that emerged afterward.
On that fateful day, we witnessed the worst of humanity, but we also saw the best. Firefighters, police officers, first responders, and countless ordinary citizens showed extraordinary courage and compassion. They ran towards danger to help those in need, exemplifying the strength of the human spirit.
In the two decades since, we've faced numerous challenges as a nation and as a global community. Yet, the memory of 9/11 serves as a powerful reminder that in times of adversity, we CAN come together, support one another, and overcome even the darkest of days.
Today, let's honor the memory of those we lost by not only remembering the tragedy but also by embracing the values of unity, empathy, and resilience. Let's stand together, no matter our differences, and work towards a brighter, more compassionate future.

The events of 9/11 will forever be etched in the hearts of American citizens. May we never forget the tremendous loss our country endured 22 years ago, nor the incredible heroes that rose up that day.
