SENS4ICE project teaming with ICE GENESIS for project closure With both complementary aircraft icing EU-funded projects ICE GENESIS and SENS4ICE coming to an end after five years, respective project results and conclusions were shared and discussed during respective final public events. In the last week of November, the ICE GENESIS top level results, conclusions and outlook including technology gaps and research needs were presented at the SENS4ICE final dissemination event in Brussels (you can refer to our dedicated feedback article here: https://lnkd.in/eG5dzTtK). ICE GENESIS final public workshop took place on 6-7 December 2023 in Toulouse. A brief SENS4ICE project high level summary was presented by Carsten Schwarz (German Aerospace Center (DLR) exhibiting the significant progress and maturation of ice detection technologies specifically for SLD (supercooled large droplet) icing conditions including successful demonstration in icing wind tunnels and flight test campaigns. Particular emphasis was put on present technology challenges and imminent research requirements. The SENS4ICE achievements and outcome were greatly appreciated by the icing community and stakeholders. There was a clear consensus that further collaborative European research also continuing to involve international partners is absolutely paramount in order to meet industry needs and certification challenges. #sens4iceproject

On 9 July, ENAIRE organised a crucial workshop 👍 as part of Solution 2: Collaborative Traffic Management of the EUREKA SESAR3 Fast Track project together with the project partners Aena, INECO, CRIDA A.I.E., Unifly, and Pipistrel Vertical Solutions. This meeting has been crucial ensuring the consistency of use cases, requirements, and assumptions with the exercises to be performed in this solution 👏. 🌌 ARIS: Advancing space technology in the #GreaterZurichArea   💫 ARIS is an organization founded by ETH Zürich students in 2017 that focuses on innovative #SpaceTech projects. Combining knowledge with practical experience, ARIS tackles engineering challenges and connects academia with industry to shape the future of space exploration.   ⚙️ Last month, ARIS successfully completed project HELIOS, focused on developing a bi-liquid rocket #engine. This project is central to ARIS’ ambitious journey to breach the boundary into space and will serve as the foundation for next year’s project, which aims to develop ARIS' first bi-liquid flight engine. Aiming for a successful launch on September 20, 2024, NICOLLIER has completed the design and manufacturing phase and is now testing all subsystems.
