Register for the upcoming First Nations Strong Business Connect Events held in Murgon, Eidsvold and Bundaberg from 16th to 18th April 2024.
The purpose of these events is to connect First Nations businesses with government and non-government service providers that help businesses thrive and grow. The events are targeting start-ups, small and medium businesses, as well as First Nation peoples who are thinking of starting a business.

Service providers have been identified as providing relevant services to First Nations businesses across this region, who are currently being targeted to participate and meet with the First Nations business attendees. The format of the event provides each attending business with at least 10 minutes one-to-one with each service provider to give an outline of their business and get an understanding of what the provider can offer. They will then be able to follow up at a later date for more in depth engagement.
The events are aimed at providing a convenient opportunity for engagement in the region by bringing together a range of service providers, as well as highlighting and supporting the growth and success of our First Nations businesses.

Networking was never a strong suit of mine.
It still isn’t really, despite meeting hundreds of new people a day sometimes throughout my working life.
Now I’m remote, it feels even further from my natural skill set but luckily there are events like isme|&|co’s every couple of weeks.
Whether you’re remote or not, and a UK-based business they are worth signing up to.
I’ve been meeting some really interesting people, getting introduced to businesses I never knew existed, and contact with them I just would not get without these online events.

🌟 Attention Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB)!🌟
I want you to attend the FY 2024 Second Quarter Business Forecast and Partner Update webinar hosted by USAID.
This is a prime opportunity for SDVOSBs to reignite relationships with USAID and contribute to its valuable mission.
📅 Tuesday, March 26 at 9:00 am ET
USAID has set a goal to allocate 5% of its contracting budget to SDVOSBs but currently falls short, utilizing just 0.4%.
This discrepancy signals a substantial untapped potential for collaboration and impact.
SDVOSBs are uniquely positioned to enhance USAID’s initiatives due to their international experience, innovative thinking, and commitment to quality.
Why should SDVOSBs join this event?
Drive Change: Showcase how SDVOSBs can address global challenges and bring valuable insights to USAID’s missions.
Networking: Connect with key stakeholders within USAID and explore future collaboration opportunities.
Insightful Discussions: Understand the landscape of USAID’s projects and how SDVOSBs can fit into the picture.
Despite past challenges in working with USAID, our community can bridge this gap. Many SDVOSBs have ceased trying for USAID opportunities, but together, we can reignite this relationship and demonstrate the robust capabilities and unique advantages that SDVOSBs bring to the table.
Following the webinar, USAID will share responses to Business Forecast-related questions, along with a transcript and recording of the event, on USAID.gov.
Feel free to add comments on why you think it is so hard for us to work with USAID and contribute to the mission!
Let’s step forward to make a significant impact on global development and reinforce the partnership between SDVOSBs and USAID. Your participation could be the catalyst for change we've been waiting for.
