This Wednesday, July 3 marks a new stage for our activity in France with the inauguration of the new offices in Nîmes from which we will coordinate all of the company's activities around the Mediterranean area. Inaugurated in the presence of our CEO Patrick Blethon and Franck Proust, President of Nîmes Métropole and Pascal Gourdel, Deputy Mayor of Nîmes, this structure will centralize all of Saur's expertise Saur France STEREAU Nijhuis Saur Industries imaGeau @Saur Services and Cise TP to support water transition in the Mediterranean region, which is strongly impacted by global warming and water stress. This location provides our teams with strategic proximity to the communities they serve, allowing them to provide our users with rapid and effective support on a daily basis and to facilitate and optimize the management of water resources, in particular through the installation of an Operational Steering Center. 🏆 Our team from the ESSEC - Accenture Strategic Business Analytics Chair won the first prize for their final presentation. 🌍 Innovation and expansion in Asia! This week, the Saur group is participating in the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2024 trough its flagship Nijhuis Saur Industries (NSI) and PWNT one of its nugget to showcase our innovative technologies for this high demanding market. We were honoured to welcome several eminent figures, including Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and Environment, Poh-Koon Koh (Dr), Minister of State, Yam Keng Baey, Acting Parliamentary Secretary, Tze Chin Ong, PUB Managing Director, and Harry Seah, PUB Deputy Managing Director (Operations). Their visit was an important moment, cementing our engagement in the region and the State. At Saur, we are committed to innovate in the field of sustainable water management with cutting-edge technologies for industrial water production and wastewater treatment. In Singapore, 3 large-scale projects have already enabled NSI to establish itself as a strong water player: ➡️ Jurong Rock Cavern installed in 2012 consisted of dissolved air flotation units for treatment of seepage water from oil storage caverns ➡️ Marina East Desalination Project installed in 2017 consisted of 7 high rate dissolved air flotation units for pre-treatment of sea water in desalination ➡️ Choa Chu Kang Water Works (CCKWW Phase II) in Singapore, installed in 2019 for potable water treatment of resivour water. The use of PWNT ceramic membrane technology has paved the way for the use of ceramic membrane technology to improve the plant's operational efficiency and reliability. Saur is ready to face drought with digital tools💧 💻 Drought is one of the most serious environmental challenges of our time. 40% of the world's land surface is already degraded and approximately 4 football fields ⚽️ of viable land disappear every second. On this World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, we are committed to combating drought in all the territories we support through rational resource management. Artificial intelligence and data play a crucial role in all solutions to preserve water resources, in particular to help anticipate risks and sustainably use existing groundwater. Our drought information service, developed by our subsidiary imaGeau, includes an AI-driven drought forecasting function called EMI. This solution allows us to predict droughts over a period of 5 to 90 days, which allows us to anticipate the amount of groundwater that will be accessible. Today, the French Orient Express Racing Team inaugurated its base camp in Barcelona for the America's Cup, bringing together more than 350 people and demonstrating its commitment to innovation and sustainability. 🇪🇸 🎉   As an official provider of water technologies, the group is proud to present the 2 systems on the Barcelona platform. Developed by Nijhuis Saur Industries and managed by Gestión y Técnicas del Agua S.A. (Gestagua), this work is the fruit of several months' collective effort and demonstrates once again our agility and strength as a Group in solving the water challenges of territories around the world. 🤜🏼🤛🏼   Our advanced water management system will radically reduce the water footprint, particularly in a region like Catalonia, which is currently experiencing relatively high water stress.    This partnership is based on our technological solutions and our commitment to our environmental and ethical values. Saur is proud to support Saudi Arabia in its transition to more efficient and sustainable water management, a major challenge in an arid territory where every drop counts. Thanks to our capacity for innovation and our operational excellence, we provide water across a territory of 800,000 km² (approximately the size of Turkey), combining North West and East regions, contributing to the kingdom's 2030 goals. Nader Antar, president of Saur International gave a speech at the Saudi Water Forum in which he shared our vision to strengthen the contribution of the private sector in the field of water. At Saur, biodiversity preservation lies at the heart of our mission. On this World Biodiversity Day, we take pride in highlighting our concrete actions to protect wildlife and flora. In addition to supplying water to 400,000 residents of Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands, Emalsa, a public-private collaboration between the Saur Group and the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, actively commits to biodiversity preservation through numerous initiatives. ➡️ EMALSA manages a maintenance and conservation contract for the care of Canary Island palm trees and washingtonias located on its premises. This involves periodic inspections, pruning, and phytosanitary treatments. ➡️ Furthermore, in the realm of biodiversity care and protection, EMALSA maintains an ongoing contract for the study and analysis of benthic and fish organisms in the marine environment, aiming to assess the impact of our activities on the environment. ➡️ At the Barranco Seco wastewater treatment plant, we undertake reforestation efforts with indigenous plants to preserve local biodiversity.
