Juneteenth, or “Freedom Day” is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Today, Juneteenth serves as a celebration for the freedoms and rights attained through the fight of many generations, and is a reminder of the work that remains to ensure a more equitable world for future generations. San Francisco Ballet honors and joins that fight during Juneteenth and beyond. #discoversfballet #juneteenth
