Additionally, SF Ballet Apprentices Sofia Albers, Jacey Gailliard, and Dylan Pierzina have been promoted to the corps de ballet, and Rebecca Blenkinsop (English National Ballet), Jakub Groot (Czech National Ballet), Lucas López (Joffrey Studio Company), Archie Sullivan (English National Ballet), and Juliette Windey have been appointed to the corps de ballet. Six SF Ballet School Trainees have been named apprentices for the 2024-2025 season: Maya Chandrashekaran, Carlota Cruz, Emmitt Friedman, Justin-Cooper Meeks, Ben Taber, and Juliana Wilder. Juneteenth, or “Freedom Day” is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Today, Juneteenth serves as a celebration for the freedoms and rights attained through the fight of many generations, and is a reminder of the work that remains to ensure a more equitable world for future generations. San Francisco Ballet honors and joins that fight during Juneteenth and beyond. #discoversfballet #juneteenth

The School Spring Festival will honor our rich history and bright future by featuring different programs across three evenings of performances, including a demonstration by students, pieces selected from the School’s Choreographic Workshop, a new work from Company dancer Pemberley Ann Olson, and closing the performance will be selections from George Balanchine’s Symphony in C. Today we're celebrating #EducatorsAppreciationDay and recognizing the educators who teach, encourage, and inspire. We're welcoming PK–12th grade teachers, paraprofessionals, school staff, administrators, and teaching artists from schools across the Bay Area to Swan Lake today.
