MTS is proposing a Copper Line, a new East County Connector to service stations between El Cajon Transit Center and Santee Trolley Station. The proposed Copper Line would serve each station every 15 minutes most of the day and run approximately 5:00 a.m to midnight. If approved, Copper Line Service would replace the existing Green and Orange Line Trolley service East of El Cajon Transit Center. MTS has acquired 174 Big Belly bins 🗑️ 🚮 that have already started appearing at our downtown stations. 🌟 Big Belly bins boast enhanced features including increased capacity, improved door security and the solar-powered ability to alert our maintenance teams when they require emptying! Riders can expect to see these smart bins at 12th & Imperial, City College and 5th Ave, just to name a few. More bins will be installed in September on the South UC San Diego Blue line!✨
