Our team volunteered with MEALS FROM THE HEARTLAND to package meals for those in need. We're proud to have packaged a whopping 38,016 meals (that's 176 boxes!) in a single day. It was a fantastic experience, and we're grateful to be part of such a meaningful cause. #rockinthehairnet

Charity work is one of the most humble and amazing ways to give back to the community. Here’s me giving back to the community of the UCKG HelpCentre through our SOS campaign. Our S.O.S. campaign this year is to "Help Us, Help Others, Stay Alive". These are the works of the UCKG HelpCentre and the various initiatives that it does to keep running: 1. Weekly Soup Kitchens🥣 2. Food banks 🍞across the country. 3. Night Angels - a project that provides food for the homeless during the night. 4. Give Warmth Appeal🧤 -which supports the families of inmates who are in prison, children in hospitals and those in care homes. 5. A 24 hours helpline ☎️ for those in need of a listening ear and advice. 6. Victory Youth Group - which is catered to help young people get the best of themselves. 7. The Universal Access Point - which helps those who are in need of emergency shelter or a local service. And more! And with previous campaigns and donations in the past year, this year we’ve been able to achieve: - 13,771 Hot meals given out - 2,477 Homeless reached - 79,710 Bags of groceries given out - 36 Night Angels branches - 18 Calls from the bridges - 41 Give Warmth Appeals - 2 Liberty events - 10,179 Helpline calls NOW, WE NEED TO DO IT AGAIN! Your support is now more necessary than ever. Your generous gift will continue to enable us to receive through our doors those who are sending out a S.O.S. Help us help others by sponsoring this necessary work. #charity #donate #donatenow #givingback #december2023 #kindly #fundraising #fundraisingsuccess

Tomorrow is Random Acts of Kindness Day 2024! Join us in spreading care, here are some ideas of things you can do. 💜🫶 -Pay for the coffee or meal of the person behind you in line at a cafe or drive-thru. -Leave kind and uplifting notes in public places like libraries, parks, or on public transportation for strangers to find. -Offer to help an elderly neighbor with their groceries or household chores. -Compliment a stranger genuinely and sincerely, whether it's on their outfit, smile, or something they've done. -Hold the door open for someone, whether it's at a store, office building, or any public space. -Volunteer your time at a local charity or community organisation. -Offer to babysit for a friend or family member to give them a break. -Plant flowers or trees in a public space to beautify the environment for everyone. -Donate gently used clothes, toys, or household items to a shelter or thrift store. -Send a handwritten letter or card to a friend or family member, expressing your appreciation and love for them. #randomactsofkindness #kindness #SupportSolutions #supportsolutionscare #supportsolutionsyork #HomeCareHarrogate #homecarebeverley

As the festive lights twinkle and the world celebrates Christmas, we at Galaxy Weblinks embrace the warmth and joy of this wonderful season. Christmas is more than a festival; it's a time for reflection, gratitude, and embracing universal values of kindness and generosity. This year, we're not just celebrating Christmas; we're living it through our Sanjeevani initiative. Since 2014, our journey with Sanjeevani has been one of heartfelt giving and community engagement. With charity drives organized throughout the year, we've been able to touch the lives of over 400 children and elders by distributing new clothes and bringing smiles to their faces. Our commitment goes beyond business success; it's about making a positive impact in the world. Each contribution, each act of kindness, is a step towards a more compassionate and connected society. As we gather with our loved ones, let's remember those in need and extend our hearts and hands. Let's carry the spirit of Christmas beyond the festive season and into every day of our lives. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas filled with love, joy, and the spirit of giving. #Christmas2023 #ChristmasSpirit #GivingBack #Sanjeevani #CommunityEngagement #CommunityImpact #SocialResponsibility #SeasonOfGiving #TechForGood #PositiveImpact #DigitalTransformation #DigitalTransformationCommunity

🙏An act of Humanity always satisfy your soul🙏 Follow Dr. Neelam Lohiya for more 🎯An act of humanity is any action that shows compassion, kindness, or understanding towards another person. It can be a small act, such as holding the door open for someone, or a larger act, such as donating to charity or volunteering your time. Here are some examples of acts of humanity: 💡Donating blood or plasma 💡Volunteering at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter 💡Mentoring a child or young person 💡Helping an elderly or disabled person with their shopping or transportation 💡Donating to a charity that supports a cause you care about 💡Speaking up against injustice or discrimination 💡Being kind and compassionate to others, even when it is difficult 💡Acts of humanity can make a big difference in the lives of others. They can show people that they are not alone, that they are cared about, and that there is hope. Here are some more specific examples of acts of humanity: 👍A stranger giving up their seat on a crowded bus to an elderly woman. 👍A child donating their allowance to help feed hungry children in Africa. 👍A firefighter saving a family from a burning building. 👍A doctor volunteering their time to provide medical care to people in need. 👍A soldier risking their life to protect their country. These are just a few examples of the many ways that people can show acts of humanity. Every act, no matter how small, can make a difference. If you are looking for ways to be more compassionate and kind to others, here are a few tips: ☑️Be mindful of your words and actions. ☑️Be willing to help others, even if it is just a small gesture. ☑️Be open-minded and understanding. ☑️Be forgiving. ☑️Be grateful for the good in the world. When we act with humanity, we make the world a better place. We show others that we care about them and that we are willing to help them. 💖 Making a Difference in Bristol with Simple Acts of Kindness 💖 🌟 Random Acts of Kindness Day is today, Saturday 17th February. 🌟 The idea of a day to perform random acts of kindness began in America in 1995. It’s spread globally and is a great opportunity to show how small, thoughtful actions can have a significant impact worldwide and closer to home in Bristol. 🌍 Here are six easy ways to spread a little happiness and strengthen the bonds within our community. 🤝 🛍️ Support local businesses Start by supporting local shops and services. Whether buying a coffee from the local café or choosing a local craftsperson for your next project, your custom helps sustain the livelihoods of those in our community. 💬 Share a compliment Never underestimate the power of a genuine compliment. Whether praising a neighbour’s garden or acknowledging a colleague’s hard work, a kind word can go a long way in brightening someone’s day. 💰 Donate to a local charity Consider donating to a local charity or food bank. These organisations do incredible work, and your contribution, big or small, can make a real difference to those in need. ⏰ Volunteer your time Giving your time can be incredibly rewarding. Volunteer at a local school, community centre or charity shop. Even a few hours can have a significant impact. 🏡 Help a neighbour Simple acts like helping an elderly neighbour with shopping or offering to walk someone’s dog can foster a stronger, more caring community. 🔄 Pay it forward Buy a coffee for the person in line behind you, leave a book in a public place for someone else to enjoy, or simply hold the door open for others. These small gestures of kindness can create a ripple effect of goodwill. Let’s use Random Acts of Kindness Day as a feel-good springboard to spread smiles and kindness throughout our community, not just today, but every day. 💫 Together, we can make Bristol a happier, more connected place for everyone. 🌈 👋 Get in touch 💌 [email protected] 📞 0117 4522400 #sarahclarkpropertyconsultants #bristolproperty #bristollettings #propertybristol #lettingagentbristol

In my view, giving is a profound way to show compassion and unity with other people. It's about more than simply monetary donations; it also includes offering one's time, expertise, and resources to help others. By sharing what we have, we can make a difference and bring people together in a meaningful way. Inspiring others in my network to give to charities and issues they care about is important to me. A powerful approach to this is to set a good example. A engaging story that might connect with others is sharing personal anecdotes of how specific issues have impacted me or the transforming experiences I've observed via supporting charities. If I've worked in a shelter for abused and neglected animals, for instance, I might tell touching tales about the creatures I've helped and how they changed my perspective on life. Adding a human element like this makes the cause more approachable and inspires more people to get engaged. Raising awareness of the quantifiable effects of contributions is another strategy. Motivating people to take action may be as simple as sharing stories of how your own little actions have made a difference, like feeding a hungry family or paying for a child's school tuition. More people will learn about and be willing to help NGOs if they use various forms of communication to spread the word about their work. To foster a culture of responsibility and openness, it is helpful to provide eye-catching pictures, success stories, and updates on the good things that have been accomplished with contributions. Giving may also become a group effort when members of the network plan events or launch fundraising initiatives. Charity runs, community cleanups, and internet fundraising events all have a common goal: to generate money while also bringing people together in a spirit of camaraderie. In the end, my goal is to encourage people in my network to give back to issues that matter to them by sharing personal experiences, highlighting accomplishments, and opening doors for collective action. If we work together, we can improve the lives of others who are less fortunate and start a chain reaction of goodwill. #GivingSeason #GivingTuesday

Social participation is defined by Levasseur and colleagues as "a person's involvement in activities providing interactions with others in community life and in important shared spaces? based on the societal context and what individuals want and is meaningful to them". It also involves social contact within networks of people and the satisfaction derived from being a part of it. Some examples of social participation include: - Creating or regular participation in support groups - Volunteering at animal shelters, food banks of homeless shelters - Helping out with blood drives, charity organizations or community gardens - Performing at children's hospitals or summer youth programs To learn more about Social Participation and Reducing the Risk of Developing Dementia, read the full article - https://lnkd.in/geX2wd56
