At Salad and Go we're all about #OneTeam and that was never more true than over the last few weeks as our team came together to support our store and team members in Temple, TX who were recently impacted by devastating storms. We are thrilled to announce we're back open and ready to serve the community and we couldn't have done it without the hard work of our team.

As we continue to explore the City Service Areas in the Year in Review video series, Chapter 3 focuses on Neighborhood Services. City leaders share how we are working as One Team with the community to combat vehicle blight and assure cleaner neighborhoods; how the City encourages youth to be future leaders; how the San José Public Library provides free community WiFi to 200,000 households in under-connected neighborhoods; and how the Animal Care and Services Center staff provide services to residents and cares for thousands of animals every year. Don’t forget to come back for Chapter 4! #WeAreSanJose #SanJose

We're committed to ensuring Arizonans have safe and reliable utilities, protection from fraud, and economic stability. Here are 5 ways how we're making your Thanksgiving better: 1. Reliable Utilities: We ensure uninterrupted electricity and gas during Thanksgiving, crucial for families who are celebrating together. 2. Safety First: We enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents, especially important with increased home cooking. 3. Emergency Preparedness: Our emergency response plans are in place, especially vital during holidays when many services are closed. 4. Consumer Protection: We guard against unfair utility practices and rate hikes, important during high-expense holiday seasons. 5. Community Support: Our staff actively participates in community, like our recent volunteer work at St. Mary's Food Bank, where our Administrative Services Division helped distribute nearly 5,000 meals. Happy Thanksgiving from the Arizona Corporation Commission!

Every shift, 8 firefighters including myself bring 20$ to work every 3rd day at Dallas Fire Station 8. We work 24 hours with 48 hours off. We pool that money together to buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner and hopefully have enough left over for coffee. We end up buying the cheapest stuff around (it rhymes with Smoldgers). We also appreciate when businesses and families would come by and ask how they could help make our lives easier. We didn’t always have a good answer because First Responders are the last people to think they are in need. Thats why Kyle and I came up with Caffeinate-A-Station because we saw a need to connect businesses with their local heroes by providing their coffee. Businesses want to thank their First Responders. First Responders appreciate having their coffee paid for, especially when it’s premium and from a Firefighter / Veteran owned roaster. After all, it’s one of the things that connects us all, caffeine! This Holiday season, consider sponsoring your local fire or police department through the Caffeinate-A-Station program. Because #Heroesdeservegoodcoffee and so do you! Email us at [email protected] to sponsor a station or department. #smallbusiness #veteranowned #firstresponders #firefighter #coffee

Media-Tech Founder of an Indigenous-owned, female-led, impact franchise. Unlocking the potential that sits at the intersection of media with vision, well-being, and human agency.
Bravo, John Deere. As leaders grasp how advertising dollars are the fuel to activate powerful, transformative storying, our world heals, stronger. Possibility and expansion lie just beyond our belief, and our imagination bridges this gap. #regenerativefilmmaking #story #elevateyourbrand
It's a concern in many rural communities around the United States. Volunteer firefighters are aging, and it's difficult to recruit more. This type of service is in our DNA. John Deere himself was a firefighter. We also have hundreds of passionate employees volunteering in our home communities. So, for us, it was a no-brainer. We needed to bring awareness to the need. And, what better way to show the impact and importance of the role than collaborating with the National Volunteer Fire Council to present a documentary called "Odd Hours, No Pay, Cool Hat.?" "The film is paying tribute to the amazing service being done while also, hopefully, inspiring others to sign up," said Nate Clark, president of the John Deere Foundation. With the crisper mornings and cooler evenings becoming more frequent, it’s a great time to check your heating and defrosting. Ensure they’re both working properly so you don’t compromise your visibility. Signs that they aren’t working properly are: Weak airflow Coolant leaks Fluctuating temperatures Unusual noises Continuous foggy windows Strange smells The more obvious is no hot air and that your dashboard lights indicating there is a problem are on. It’s been a busy day. It is heartbreaking to see so much tree damage. Although many trees are complete losses, I cannot understate the importance of exercising patience when feasible and having your tree evaluated by a qualified arborist. When the only tool in the toolbox is tree removal then many viable trees are removed prematurely. With skill and expertise, some trees can be retained for many years to come. A good places to start your search for qualified arborists are International Society of Arboriculture and Tree Care Industry Association. In addition, ask for references, ask for certificates of insurance and call to verify coverage, have a signed agreement for the scope of work, and don’t pay for the work before it is done.
What a storm we had last night! The damage is extensive, but our team is already hard at work clearing debris and addressing fallen trees. We understand it’s a challenging time, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate through this together. Safety is our utmost concern, so please exercise caution if you’re out and about. Stay safe, and know that we’re here for you every step of the way. #CommunitySupport #StaySafe #DallasStorm #StormCleanup #EmergencyResponse #CommunityCare #DallasStrong

On Friday, May 10th, severe storms struck northern Florida, with multiple tornadoes touching down in Tallahassee. As soon as the storms hit, our team sprang into action, proactively calling customers in the hardest-hit areas to ask if they had any damage. Our field team was immediately deployed to inspect affected homes, and our First Choice Repair Network® had contractors ready to take on assignments ranging from tree removal to temporary housing. Watch as Barbara from Tallahassee shares her story. #HomeInsurance #StormStories #SecurityFirstInsurance
