This week, I've set aside some time to build out a federal resume as I see more UX-related roles popping up in various federal agencies. As someone whose first-ever job was at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (as a contractor), I'm excited to see the federal government embracing user/customer experience! 🚀 (AND some of the opportunities are even remote 🎉) If you're also considering opportunities within the government for your next role, here are some valuable resources to keep in mind: 👉 Federal Government Job Board: https://www.usajobs.gov/ 👉 Technology Transformation Services (TTS) Roles: https://join.tts.gsa.gov/ 👉 Create a Federal Resume: https://lnkd.in/etTJ3NN4 The job market is tough (one of the toughest I've seen since 2008-2009 🤯), but let's keep supporting each other through it! 🙌 Share any additional tips for searching for and applying to federal government roles in the comments ⬇️
When using usajobs.gov, be sure to click "Open to Public" when searching jobs if that applies to you. Also, most jobs let you preview any Assessments you have to fill out - I highly recommend reading through them first! This way you can have your answers prepared before you go to apply ✨
Have you met BJ Dela Cruz, CISSP/CCSP/CSSLP/CCSK yet, Sahar? He's posted a fair amount about how awesome working for the federal government is and might have some insight.
Hi Sahar, I hope you will find your next position soon.
I want to help you to make the unclear, clear.
10moIt is amazing watching you support others on the job search while navigating this season yourself 👽 Sahar Naderi — it speaks so highly of your character (which already was quite loudly 🤩 awesome) — our government would be so lucky to get a chance to work with you!
