When was the last time you accepted a LinkedIn invitation without having ever met them in person? Just last week I was talking about this with a group of our brokers, sharing how LinkedIn can be a great tool for raising brand awareness and keeping connected with clients. However, I was also keen to stress, we all need to take care when accepting invites. This thought-provoking video from the National Protective Security Society shows the risk of accepting invites from people you don't know. Thankfully, it also gives guidance on how to avoid falling victim, and what to do if you get caught out. Maybe time to spend a few mins reviewing existing connections..? If you found this useful, please share with your colleagues #MarketingSupport #BrokerMarketing https://lnkd.in/exNqZBXe

Life & Leadership Coach (PCC) helping mid-career professionals become the leader they desire to be, create the life they desire to live, and pursue the work that feels meaningful to them.
For the last 4 months, I’ve been sharing a very personal weekly reflection with my email community. As someone who has historically desired to curate and maintain a particular image of having it all together, these reflections are the most authentic and vulnerable thing I’ve ever shared, outside of my closest people. I share real things that happened in my week, reflect on how I showed up, determine whether the way I showed up served or limited me, and consider what I learned as a result. I then invite my readers to be curious about how those insights apply to their own lives, at work and at home. I strongly believe every situation is an opportunity to learn and grow. There is meaning to be found in even the most mundane or trivial experiences, which enables us to continuously evolve our perspective and have a higher likelihood of consciously choosing our next response. I invite you to subscribe at the link in the comments and learn how to glean insight from your own life that will increase your likelihood of experiencing what you desire, in daily moments and in your life in general. Here’s some feedback my readers have shared: “I appreciate your insight, honesty and bravery in this most recent post. Thanks for your smart and heartfelt words.” “Your authenticity and willingness to be vulnerable make your stories very, very powerful and relatable. More, please. 😊” “THANK YOU for this message! Perfectly timed.”
