𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Play-Based Learning: Enhancing Early Childhood Development in Preschool Settings Jitendra Karsan, Chairman, Safari Kid India, (Moderator) 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 It's crucial to demonstrate to parents that playful learning is more effective than traditional methods. Engaging children through play captures their interest and enhances their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Preschool without play is simply not feasible because play is a natural and vital part of a child's growth and learning process. While children need to learn the alphabet and numbers, incorporating gamification into these lessons makes learning more enjoyable and effective. For instance, instead of merely reciting the alphabet, children can play a game where they hunt for letters around the classroom, or instead of simple counting exercises, they can engage in activities that require them to solve puzzles or complete challenges using numbers. These playful methods help children better understand and retain information because they are actively involved in learning.
