Did you get it right? The answer to yesterday's Safety Check Tuesday question is Electrical Shock. The best answer to the question is 'Electrical shock.' There is no such thing as partial electrocution. Circuit overload protection is the job of a circuit breaker, not a GFCI. For more on electrical safety, check out our NFPA course: https://ow.ly/6UNp50PYbxr

Attended a training program on Electrical Safety and realized I needed a refresher on some of these definitions. 😁 Flash Protection Boundary (outer arc flash boundary): The flash boundary is the farthest established boundary from the energy source. If an arc flash occurred, this boundary is where an employee would be exposed to a curable second-degree burn (1.2 calories/cm2). Limited Approach Boundary: An approach limit at a distance from an exposed live part where a shock hazard exists. Restricted Approach Boundary: An approach limit at a distance from an exposed live part where there is an increased risk of shock. Prohibited Approach (inner boundary): A distance from an exposed part which is considered the same as making contact with the live part.
