Only 6% got accepted ✔️ Baltic Youth LAB is appreciated and demanded internship program taking place 7 years in a row. Super happy to see Youth LAB alumni (especially from 1st, 2nd seasons) flourishing and sharing their experience with fresh interns. Some of them are SEB employee since very beginning when Youth LAB program started in 2018 and some of them got back after 2 or 5 years. BTW and of those accepted up to 30% remain as (or become after some time) SEB employee <- slightly better numbers 🫢 #SEBlife #YouthLAB #ExperientialLearning

5 Tips for Balancing University and Your Internship at Alcon! Hey fellow Alcon interns! Balancing university while working at a global company like Alcon can be challenging, but with the right approach, you can excel at both 🏆 . Here are 5 tips I’ve found super helpful in managing my workload at Alcon and keeping up with my studies I'm going to start using in September: 1. Master Time Management  🕘   Working at Alcon means you’re part of a fast-paced team. Use a planner or digital calendar to map out your work shifts, study time, and personal tasks. Prioritize what's urgent for Alcon and your school deadlines so nothing falls through the cracks. 2. Communicate Clearly with Your Team  🔊   Keep your manager and colleagues in the loop about your school commitments. Alcon is super supportive of interns balancing work and studies, but clear communication about your availability will ensure you stay on top of both. 3. Use Your Internship to Learn and Grow  📈   Apply what you’re learning at university in your role at Alcon. Whether it's problem-solving, critical thinking, or time management, the skills from your studies can enhance your work—and vice versa! Plus, being proactive and curious at work will help you stand out. 4. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask for Help  ❣   If you’re feeling overwhelmed, reach out! Your Alcon mentors and peers have likely been in your shoes before and can offer great advice on how to manage your workload. Alcon fosters a supportive environment, so don’t hesitate to seek guidance. 5. Prioritize Self-Care  🛏   It’s easy to burn out balancing a global internship and university studies, so make sure you’re carving out time to rest and recharge. Introducing Ida Hugander, one of our interns, who is spending her summer working with the Analysys Mason team in Sweden. We caught up with her to see how her experience has been so far: Q: What was your most significant learning experience during your internship? Ida: It was working on a report about the Swedish mobile market. I updated data for the major operators and analysed recent trends and regulations in the sector. Additionally, I reviewed the results of the 2023 spectrum auction and identified key takeaways. Although I was initially unfamiliar with the TMT sector, I embraced the challenge and gained a deeper understanding of its complexities. This project not only expanded my knowledge but also enhanced my proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Q: Can you describe a project or task you’re particularly proud of? Ida: I am particularly proud of my contribution to a project on equality and sustainability. I conducted research, reached out to potential contacts, and assisted with PowerPoint presentations. The project's goal was to promote equality in the bioeconomy sector. Being part of Analysys Mason’s efforts in these critical areas was incredibly rewarding, as I had the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change. Q: What skills have you developed or improved during your internship? Ida: I deepened my understanding of the tech and telecoms industries and their societal impact. Additionally, I significantly enhanced my technical skills in tools such as PowerPoint and Excel. Q: What have you enjoyed most about working with your colleagues? Ida: I have truly enjoyed the welcoming and supportive atmosphere among my colleagues. From day one, I felt included and valued, which greatly enriched my experience. Engaging in discussions with my colleagues further enhanced my learning journey. Q: What advice would you give to future interns? Ida: Embrace this opportunity for professional growth. Approach your tasks with confidence and don’t hesitate to ask for help!
