The SUNY Upstate College of Health Professions recently welcomed back alumni and other technologists to host a "Review of Clinical Expectations" panel. This annual opportunity is held just before junior-level students in medical imaging and radiation sciences venture off into their first clinical placement. It was a fun and engaging conversation that provided valuable information for the students as they prepare for this exciting next step in their education journey. #healthcare #alumniengagement #SUNY

Thank you to all the players, sponsors and volunteers for making this year the best yet for the Towsley Pro-Am!
The weather did not dampen the spirits of sponsors and supporters who came together to raise more than $245,000, a record-breaking effort. Tournament proceeds will support the extraordinary work done at the Clark Burn Center. The Clark burn team provides care to adult and pediatric burn survivors with expertise and compassion as patients and families face an often long and painful journey through treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery. https://lnkd.in/dwAr4Kc2

Working alongside Bob on this generous gift was truly inspiring. His own story and dedication to paying it forward in support of student success is something I’ll remember forever. Congratulations to Bob for creating this legacy that will continue to support our healthcare workers of tomorrow!
Professor Emeritus SUNY UPSTATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL College of Health Professions Bob Sunheimer ’74, right, recently established the Robert L. Sunheimer Clinical Laboratory Sciences Endowment the Upstate Foundation. The check was presented to Russ Corbin, left, the new director of alumni for the College of Health Professions. Sunheimer dedicated over 25 years to Upstate as a professor in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program (formerly Medical Technology), and currently serves as treasurer for the Health Professions Alumni Association. For him, creating this funding opportunity for students marked a full-circle moment. “I remember receiving a scholarship when I went to college and how meaningful it was for me. After being in the classroom for over 25 years and witnessing the rising costs of education, I wanted to support current students and inspire others to do the same.” Thank you!
