Well, we were correct it was a long weekend – but it has allowed us to reflect further on Quiss as a business.
The statement “Over a long enough time horizon, positioning beats predicting” implies that in the context of business, it is more effective and profitable to establish a strong position in the market and adapt to changes over time rather than trying to predict future market movements accurately-
Quiss has been in operation over 35 years and so we can safely say that we have tried to position for the long term.
This weekend can be used as a metaphor for the Quiss business:
• The client had challenge and had to choose a partner – Quiss made sense.
• They required a partner with the industry knowledge, connections to support them – Quiss has that.
• They needed a partner with the physical infrastructure to deploy hundreds of machines within 48 hours over a weekend – Quiss has this.
• They needed hundreds of loan machines to help them over the hump – Quiss had access to these machines.
• They needed a partner who would go above and beyond to help them in a time of real crisis – This is in the Quiss DNA.
• Finally, they needed a partner that could put all the parts together, who believe in what they are doing and is prepared to say yes when most couldn’t or wouldn’t – well welcome to Quiss.
