💢Creating a search bar similar to Figma ✍️Here I will teach you how to make a UI design of a search box, similar to Search Figma, and also prototype it. Isn't that great?!! To speed up the project, I have already prepared the icons, colors and text and placed them in the style section. I have used the After Daily technique in it and you will get to know it YouTube link: https://lnkd.in/d8xSNfd6

Day2: Day 2 of my 30-Day Figma & HTML Integration Challenge! 😊 Today, I delved into exploring the Figma interface, uncovering its diverse array of tools and panels. From understanding the basics to discovering advanced features, I took a deep dive into the heart of Figma. Here are some of the items I have discovered within Figma thus far! Frames and Layers Panel - It's the control center where I arrange all my design elements, sort them into frames (think of them like digital artboards), and organize everything just right. Design Panel - This is where the magic happens for tweaking how things look. I can adjust the opacity, colors, borders, and even add some shadows and effects to give each element the perfect touch. Assets Panel - Super handy for keeping all my created components and predefined styles easy to access. It's a game-changer for making sure everything looks consistent and professional across my designs. Tools Toolbar - Here’s where all the tools live! Whether I’m selecting parts of my design, adding shapes, drawing with the pen, or laying out text, it’s all done from this toolbar. It’s essential for crafting and fine-tuning every part of my project. With each click and exploration, I'm one step closer to mastering this powerful design tool and seamlessly integrating its capabilities into my HTML projects. Excited for the journey ahead! 💻✨ #FigmaExploration #LearningFigma #HTMLIntegration #30DayChallenge #WebDevelopment #WebDesign #DesignYourWorld #TechAdventures

After many months of hard work, I have finished rewriting the Iconify plugin for Figma. This is a full rewrite of the plugin, featuring a completely new UI. That might confuse some users, so I wrote a migration guide: https://lnkd.in/dj4YRHDA Iconify for Figma is currently the most popular Figma plugin, with over 2.6m users. I hope new version will improve workflow. The biggest changes: - Smaller UI. Plugin space is limited, it should not obstruct the Figma document, so the UI was redesigned to take as little space as possible. Plugin uses tooltips everywhere to show information that would otherwise take precious space. - Advanced filters for icon sets. There are over 150 icon sets, finding correct ones might not be easy, a new filtering system should help. - License information for icon sets and icons. Even though all icon sets are open source, not all open source licenses are equal. Some require attribution, some prevent commercial use. - Favorite icon sets list to help you navigate to icon sets you are frequently using. Figma page for Iconify plugin: https://lnkd.in/dZ2TkD4A

I've been playing with Figma dev mode and Builder.io recently (both in beta) - using them to help me create components with Tailwind CSS markup, straight from Figma. Although both 'help' in giving you a strawman of markup to create your components from, they both render extremely verbose code. As it's converting from the layers in your Figma designs, it creates a <div> soup and repeated, unnecessary Tailwind class markup. If you like clean markup, you spend a fair bit of time simplifying what is output, so lose most of the time gains. And if a designer's Figma file is a mess to start with, it's even worse. I did have better success taking smaller layers, but whether selecting a lot or a little, I still had work out how to make everything match the responsiveness I desired. I love that these tools are trying to disrupt the market. But I'm not sure many companies will be jumping to buy additional Figma licences for their devs (for dev mode when it comes out of beta), unless it produces more efficient code and simplified markup. Builder.io is slightly better and can help you get further with creating your components, but as you can see from my recent video (https://lnkd.in/eA-r2_Da), it struggles to work out what is an interactive and static component. It'll be interesting to see how these progress through their betas. #designsystems #figma #figmaplugins #tailwind #builderio #designtools #designtocode #aiux #aidesign
