We tested a tried-and-true engine on 100% sustainable aviation fuel. It passed with flying colors. The V2500 test on 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is the 9th engine we’ve tested on unblended SAF – part of the overall strategy to support a more sustainable aviation industry. Could you comment on the impact with regards to SFC or thrust performance ? Ballpark ?

Excellent work! Was the emission behaviour also analysed during the tests? Due to the almost non-existent aromatics in HEFA-SPK compared to Jet-A1, fewer soot particles are produced. ✈

That’s wonderful news. The long term question is whether the engine will be able to handle it for thousands of cycles. Hope so.
