Why is there such a pent up demand in our community for affordable housing? It’s relatively to simple explain, but very hard to create the solution. The basic answer is the success that Greenville has seen in becoming a place that people want to live has created a lot of opportunities. Growth is everywhere. But when things get added, something has to be removed. And that has caused the problems with affordable housing. It can’t be built fast enough to meet demands. That’s where we and other proponents of affordable housing are advocating for more solutions and more unique ideas.
