Wintertime is fast approaching, and some states have already had their first taste of snow (we’re looking at you, Colorado)! Don’t wait for snow and ice to occur before preparing your building or facility for the changing weather. Start preparing now! Here are some steps you should be taking to make sure your building is ready for winter: - Make sure the weather stripping, insulation, and windows are all up to par so that the cold, ice, and water don’t seep into your building. - Insulate the water lines running along the exterior walls to prevent freezing. - Clean out gutters and repair any roof leaks. - Check on the heating system(s) to make sure they are clean, working properly, ventilated to the outside, and ready for winter use. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, after all. Getting ready before winter weather hits will help prevent an emergency repair or situation that will cost much more than a prevention measure. #WinterWeather #WinterSafety #Winterizing #FacilityManagement #AHI

𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 👀 We've got some weather to watch here in the Northeast. First up, scattered snow showers and squalls developing Sunday ahead of a rather potent cold front that ushers in the coldest air of the year so far for a good chunk of the area. We also have some intense lake effect snow bands setting up in Upstate NY, forecasted to produce over 2 feet of snow in spots by Monday!! And of course, we haven't forgotten about our system early next week. It is by no means a major storm, but can bring more of a widespread snowfall to areas that have not seen much so far this winter. More details tomorrow. #snow #forecast #winter #storm #WeatherWorks #WeatherExperts #WeatherSolutions #BusinessSolutions #b2b #weather #snowandice #ice #sima #facilitymanagement #dpw #publicworks #education #weatherdata #contrators #landscaping #propertymanagement #facilitymaintenance #facilitiesmanagement #consultation #snowremoval #snowplow #deicer
