Long Covid is leading to millions of new cases of M.E., Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/cfs that already had millions affected before Covid. Quality of life scores for ME/cfs are very low. I know several with ME/cfs that are disabled, vs were very productive before. Need Congress to fully fund NIH incl new investments for Long Covid and ME/cfs, related illnesses. The ROI for this should be huge, vs estimated cost to our economy in trillions (Harvard article). New Covid cases are lower now, but millions still ill with Long Covid, about half are consistent with ME/cfs.

Did you know that a 20-second hug can reduce stress? Physical touch can increase our connection to one another and can lower feelings of anxiety and depression. With only 10 days left of the Woman of Impact campaign, I am reminded of the importance of the work we are doing. Today, my daughter's experience with POTs disease put it all into perspective. Living with this condition means constantly monitoring heart rate, like when she felt tightness and a faster rate during her morning game. Vaginal health is soooooo important! A lot of young ladies (and some adult women) need more educational awareness and help purchasing tampons, pads, cups, cleansing wipes and more! We want to keep this going year round and need assistance with the following: 🚨Donations of high quality (cotton/organic) sanitary pads or tampons. (No dyes, chlorine free, no synthetic pesticides, no fragrances) 🚨 monetary donations if you don't want to physically purchase the items 🚨 names of schools, orphanages, programs, individuals who need sanitary care packages but can not afford them 🚨 People to be on board to help this continue year round (not just a one time thing) and assisting with creating/delivering the care packages. This may seem simple to some but not every one has the knowledge or finances resulting in period poverty...... Let's squash the period poverty!
